Sundanese is a Malayo-Polynesian language spoken by the Sundanese people, primarily in the western third of Java, Indonesia. With around 32 million native speakers, the Sundanese comprise roughly 15% of Indonesia's population.
In Sundanese, "Tatakrama basa" refers to a system of language levels comprising Loma and Hormat. Loma is used among peers or familiar individuals, featuring vocabulary suited to informal settings. Hormat, on the other hand, is employed to show respect to those of higher status or unfamiliar individuals, incorporating formal vocabulary.
Sundanese culture encompasses various aspects, including its renowned cuisine, traditional script, and musical instruments. It showcases a rich diversity of artistic traditions, such as Jaipongan and Peacock Dance in dance forms, Wayang Golek puppetry in theater performances, and the Angklung in musical expressions. Sundanese songs like "Bubuy Bulan" and "Manuk Dadali" further contribute to its vibrant cultural heritage.

I love Sundanese People because these people are good friends with us and also the regional language is very nice Sundanese is in West Java or Jawa Barat including my favorite Bandung, Tasikmalaya, Bekasi, Cirebon, Sukabumi and many others, plus Banten like Serang and DKI Jakarta 😊😊 Oops, my Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia sweetheart, Theresia Morales was from Banten and she is the only MMBI finalist who want to invited me for a dating tour in the province because of positive comments on her profile video..And my meeting place for Theresia was Sukarno-Hatta International Airport 😊😊 With Indonesia is my favorite country, I love the Sundanese people as a friend and love so with all my heart, I like to meet them to learn the Sundanese culture so I hope to see you in Jawa Barat and Banten soon and I will be waiting for you 😊😊 Love from Calamba City, Laguna in the Philippines 🇵🇭💕🇮🇩

And fun fact, there is another term for language system in sundanese. We use this term more than term "Tatakrama Basa". And that's term is "Undak Usuk Basa"

Hormat is called "Lemes" in sundanese. And we even have a speach level that is considered lets say lower than loma.

For "good morning" or another kind of it, we prefer to use "Wilujeng" instead of "Selamet". So, for good morning we use " Wilujeng énjing"

Maaf, bukan bermaksud menghina, tapi di pulau jawa cuma ada 2 suku pribumi, yaitu Jawa dan Sunda ( plus cabang²nya seperti Osing dan Badui) Betawi itu imigran yg dibawa belanda dari pulau lain dan negara lain, makanya pake bahasa melayu karena belanda yg suruh. jadi jangan sok pribumi.
