I got in trouble the other day at the Ambulatory Care Centre in Hamad Medical City for not having long pants. They were long shorts covering knees but still not allowed. Security were nice enough to let me in this time so I could keep my appointment. I honestly didn’t realise this applied for hospitals.

Personally, I find it Absolutely Insane Being Forced To Cover (virtually) your Entire Body (Especially The Women) In Black Fabric/Garments once you leave your house/living quarters, In The Type Of Climate That Qatar Has (I wonder whether Heatstroke is common in Qatar!?!)!!!
@qurratulainhaseeb72512 жыл бұрын
@@mariusmatei2946 It isn't always black, but staying covered in the right fabric is better than having your skin exposed to the harmful sunrays. The Islamic dress code is an extention of the cultural attire which was created to combat the heat and sun rays.
@mariusmatei29462 жыл бұрын
@@qurratulainhaseeb7251 being all covered up, is exactly the opposite to cooling down, as the fabrics/garments that you're wearing (Especially Of Dark Colours), Are Trapping your body heat, and, thus, causing you to Overheat; There Is A Reason That People Who Live In Temperate, Four Seasons Climates, Wear 2-3 Layers Of Clothes During Winter, And (Very) Lite Clothes During Summer!

Hi, Thank you for your videos!! I am learning a lot. A bit a specific question for you: Would it be considered rude or weird by other people visiting the place or working there if I knit at a caffe while drinking my coffee alone or with my friends. Is it appropriate for a foreigner (and non-Muslim) to greet people in Qatar using "As-salaam 'alykum" or just "As-salaam?" I'll be traveling to Doha for business in a few weeks and will be attending several meetings with our business partners in the area. I was always under the impression that this was only a greeting between people of the Muslim faith.

Salaam love your vdos- few thing about your country I recently visited. Some of the most rudest people I have met in middle east- immigration staff almost refused to acknowledge by etraaz as the date showed 10-5 -22 thats american way of saying oct fifth and she challenged saying it was may 10th😤.secondly if a caucasian person says Asslamuwalaikum_ many folks dont even answer as they think all caucasians are infedels. Finally qataris need to realize due to new global infotech wealth- many people around world is wealthy now( regardless of race and country of origin) . You are awesome- hope your country men were sensible and kool like you- qatar have lightyears to be near emirates .
