I think he did well, especially on his first part, it didn't really involve different notes or melodies, but was sung in a "rap-style." I do think that his second part could've been better though, but the autotune and mixing (which he had no control over) played a major role and it worsened his parts a bit.

i really like this song and i really hope they do more debut songs like this! my only problem is that whoever mixed their vocals made it very painfully obvious that everyone except ren (and maybe maria?) got autotuned. autotune is fine but it’s only fine when you don’t make it super obvious. it makes me sad :( anyway, i hope we get more cheerful, cute concepts like this again in the future! it’s my favorite. Yeah i suppose it just comes with the territory. A group of people with low experience in singing comes with the challenges of flow, rhythm, confidence and tune, and j pop / vocaloid backgrounds for vtubing makes this extreme auto tune feel normal (hence why every song sounds like this) idk, i suppose it makes it feel a little cringe, but it’s also kinda wholesome in some ways as well.
