Here is a new idea! If you have a large eyeshadow collection, this could be the Best Way to organize your eyeshadow palette collection. I have not seen anyone else approach their collection this way.

You're very smart to organize 'em in this way. I'm a longtime follower and your videos are always among my favorites. I especially loved it when you would use the Pantone color of the year and investigate your collection for that color (hint hint, please do it again!). But I gasped a little when you relegated the KVD Shade & Light eye palette to "archives"! I stopped supporting Kat years ago but I am always so glad I already owned that one, it's so amazing for neutrals! In any case loved the video and so grateful you're still doing this! xo

Your video felt like a walk down memory lane for me, too! Before we had a local Ulta or Sephora, my friend and I would road trip the nearest big city to is to shop for makeup. Although I don’t miss spending that money, I miss how much I loved makeup and how everything felt new and fresh back then. Thanks for sharing!

This is a good way to organize your palettes especially if you want to declutter. You can really tell that there is a lot of overlap of colours.

Very inspiring! I need to do that too! I did sort out my lipsticks, eye and lip pencils and nailpolishes by colors but I really should do that with my blushes and palettes! 👍🏻

This was a great idea. I feel inspired. I’ve been wanting to revamp my collection because I think I’m ready to go back to wearing makeup. Honestly I have only put makeup up on like maybe 5 times since May 2020. That’s about when the Pandemic blues set in hard and I was “why bother”. We are actually going on vacation in early June so I’ll need some light makeup (it’s a beach resort) so I’ll basically need a small amount for dinner’s st the resort restaurants. I literally have DUST buildup on all my makeup so I’ll spend the next couple of weeks dusting them and while I have my hands on them I think I’ll do some categorizing similar to what your did in this video. Can’t wait for your next step video

Our collections have so much crossover but I did pass a bunch to my daughter and SIL so maybe I should say had. Mine are organized by how much I use them but then I end up sticking to the same few over and over. Now I want to reorganize.

This is SO smart! I group mine by size. But WHY?! I don't think... "I got this new beautiful coral lip stick! You know what would go great with it?? A quad!!" Of course not! I think of it in terms of colors!! I'm going upstairs when this is done and pulling my stash apart!

I organize my makeup according to brand, but 86 palettes would definitely have to be organized the way you did.

I removed that glitter shadow from my Flutterby palette, because I’m not a fan of pressed glitter and knew I’d never touch it. (Colourpop palettes are magnetic and the pans pop out without any heat depotting. Just use an old or cheap pair of flat head tweezers to pop out the pan.)

I really like this organization method, but the thought of actually counting my palettes scares me, more than a little 🙈😂 As to the glitterbomb that is Colourpop Flutterby, you could try doing your eyeshadow first, and perhaps use a glitter glue.

It’s funny how subjective this is. I was trying to guess where you would put things as you went along and a lot of my guesses were wrong.
