ALL IPADS: HOME BUTTON NOT WORKING, STUCK, STICKY, LAGGY, UNRESPONSIVE, BROKE- 3 EASY FIXES

I give you 3 possible easy fixes to get your home button working again without the need to open your iPad. Note that the third option is not a fix but a work around and you will be able to take screen shots this way too.
Here are the 3 possible fixes / workarounds
1- Re-calibrate home button- especially good for slow or laggy home button.
2- Rubbing Alcohol- dirt, grime, sand, lint, hand lotion, soda, etc can be stuck around or in the crevices of the home buton.
3- Assistive Touch- This is a workaround but you will also be able to take screen shots.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Being in the middle of a coronavirus pandemic, and my home button became hard to press. Can’t bring it to the Apple store. I kept getting Siri when trying to just open and close apps. Your second suggestion worked for me. I didn’t have rubbing alcohol so I used a bit of precious hand sanitizer on a q tip. It works great now.

Thank you so much! I tried the assistive touch first because it felt like my button was about to entirely break (it was sticking and clicking.) That worked, but then I tried the rubbing alcohol and it immediately fixed the problem! Thanks again! 😺👍

I am so grateful. It still does not work, but it worked long enough to get the iPad past the Hello screen to turn on the Assistive Touch. Thank you sooooo much. I thought my iPad was rendered useless because I could not get past the Hello screen and it kept asking me to push the home button, which I could not do. Apple could not even help me on the phone.

I just found a fourth solution. I have not had the home button working for years. Take a screen shot. If the screen blinks, the button is fixed. Your mileage may vary, but it worked for me.

🌈🦋 The latest update is not working for me I would rather have the one before this because it would still auto play things on Netflix and You Tube; Picture in picture, and didn’t shut it off every 20 minutes so is there a way to take my iPad Pro and transfer the information from my iPad mini which still does play auto play and transfer that information to the iPad Pro?(otherwise the app when you have it picture in picture so that you can work and still listen to it turns it off at the end of every show and it just goes bleep and disappears off the screen .the iPad Pro got the latest update loaded it on but Stopped having auto play.So is there a way to go back and take away an update?
