Being inspired by these comments, I gotta say somethings I love this kind of music, is like rain and sunsets, is beautiful and comforting, but at the same time, gruesome and sorrowful, and that's kinda what live is in my perspective I have let many people down in my life, drifted apart from some friends, but right now, Im trying to do better, beterring my day to day life and trying to get more from live in general, I'll just ave to do that one last push so that I can consider these changes permanent and fix all of the shit that I have going on, thank you to all the people here and to the people who have written these amazing songs, when I first discovered this genre I just used it to let out my negative emotions but now it's motivating me to be better in some sense Again, thank you, and to whoever reads this, try to turn everything you are feeling into fuel to be better, wheter it is cleaning your mess of a room, care for your hygene, reconnect with those friends that you still love with all of your heart, disscuss yourself with yourself, just start working on yourself in some way, there will be ups and downs, but at leats you are trying now, and if you keep struggling, you *will* succed I hope the best for you

Teenager here. What advice would you give your 16 y/o selves? I'm feeling really scared for my youth with the whole pandemic thing going on, so a bit of perspective would be nice...

every person and situation is unique. so I can only give advice to my 16 year old self ... this is what I'd tell me: study less & socialize more, academics don't matter as much as you think they do (... on second thought, you might want to focus a bit more on calculus 😄) still; show up, pay attention, and always be learning - you might not know what you want to do in college & the future, but it'll become clear very soon. pay attention to the people, world, & news around you don't hide your empathy don't be a fly on the wall make a bigger effort to maintain your relationships, but also know ... friends come and go. and that's fine. it's normal. just appreciate the company that you have when you have it. be kinder ask your friends how they're doing be confident don't sweat the little things don't quit music go out more experiment & break some rules everything that happens at age 16? know that in 4-5 years, literally no one will give a shit Lastly, in june, you're going to have the opportunity to see Dads three times in a weekend. don't make an excuse & GET TO THE GIGS!!!

I’m about to be 40 this year, being 16 really doesn’t seem that long ago. It’s rough with the pandemic but if you have something in your life that you want to do, do it. Don’t get held back by other people. Tell everyone that you love that you love them, and tell them often. I lost three people between dec ‘19-jan ‘21 that’s way too many. Life’s hard enough as it is, please do anything that makes you happy. I hope you read this and it helps.
