Hello, Thankyou. When I was able to distinguish my beliefs from my values I could see that my beliefs often changed with my education and life experience. My values once I fully knew what they were, l have kept. 🔮

There are so many people out there dead man walking. Not even being able to tell you what and why they believe what they do. I find it much easier to get a response out of people when asked, "what are you against/or what do you not believe in" but they can't tell you what they stand for or what they do believe in. Christians especially struggle with this. Being taught to "just have faith", not knowing is almost celebrated. I totally feel ya on the whole nervous system thing. I always say "the body keeps score and it always wins." You should do a video more on this and the dreams thing. Big believer in both these subjects. Hope those Lyme treatments help ya bud. We need you good and healthy so you can pump out more of these videos. It's good to have you back. Always enjoy your intellectual conversations. Always nice to see people that aren't afraid to go deep!!

Hey. I was wondering, would you consider Christianity again if it were PROVEN true, objections (like on guilt/shame or fear) and questions answered, etc.?

It took me a couple of years to realize I'm an absurdist and pryrrhonian skeptic . I long for a certain degree of philosophical clarity and truth but exist in a world that doesn't provide that degree of clarity and truth to me (any gods or God whether one exists or not, that could provide me with such direct clarity or change my beliefs to what is true (they have my consent to change my beliefs only if it's true) hasn't done so) . Not to mention we were brought into existence without consent into a world that we wish was more 'moral'. The relationship and conflict between me and the world creates "The Absurd". Albert Camus compared our lives to that of Sisyphus's from mythology where Sisyphus was punished to push a rock up a hill for all eternity. Camus suggests that Sisyphus' best bet is to embrace the absurdity of his fate and struggle, while making it a necessary part of his meaning of life. In a certain way, it's a form of revolting against the world or the gods. I believe humans should have this perspective in their mental tool-kit when interacting in this world. The view can be very practical and is compatible with theism and atheism. I also follow a form of the golden-rule with respect to morals.

Do u believe in the new age and charkas and thst stuff I used to be like that too at a young age but when he breaks u he will also fix u I never believed I'm God once but I took me by the hand and now I follow him forever but remember God said I don't desire sacrifice but compassion our righteousness is like a dirty rag and I'm telling u once u start believing in stuff that is outside of jesus "antichrist" u will fall away quickly and realize that pride will destroy you

Is there a possibility of sending you something I wrote out about a dream I had over 5 years ago that is kinda still haunting me and I am running away from so I don’t experience it again? The dream wasn’t scary, it just was painful dream that do and don’t understand (which is confusing. I know. It’ll make more sense in time, I think).

Not going into the different interpretations and contexts of "belief" now, I'll just share my point of view with your 9 things: 1) The Impossible: yeah I can agree with you there 2) Working hard: on some level... but life (read: society) can be unfair and sometimes laziness is rewarded and hard work is not 3) Dreams: sure, they're still a big mystery and alot can be learned from them 4) The Unconscious: of course, but this relates to dreams (or the other way around). Dreams are from our unconscious and lucid dreams are rare. 5) The Truth: I disagree. The Truth is only relevant to those willing to accept it. (Quote by me) 6) Change The World: this depends on the context. Quite literally, move a rock and you've changed the world lol. But serious... helping people in any way you can changes their world, which is part of The World... but to Change The World in it's common meaning takes alot more. It's a nice thing to believe in though. 7) Objective Truth: kinda relates to number 5... alot of objective truths are not accepted by some people. (Flat Earthers for example) (joke: When does a Flat Earther and a Hollow Earther speak the truth? When you put them together and they start calling each other crazy!) 8) Love: Can't agree more there ;) 9) Universe: Can't agree less there :p The Universe is totally oblivious and ignorant about us. It can wipe us out in a second and we won't see it coming. Look up "WR 104".

To use the term "exvangelical" is STILL to define yourself by evangelical Christianity in some way. I'm not a ex-Santa Clausist. I'm not a former Tooth Fairian. Those were beliefs that I grew out of the same as Xtianity.
@ThePhilosophicalMisfit
@ThePhilosophicalMisfit 2 жыл бұрын
I don’t agree with this. Maybe I just don’t understand your train of thought though. But regardless, if I’m being honest, I used “exvangelical” to try to reach different viewers and see what would happen. I never use that term for myself. Until making this video that is lol.
@darkendemey890
@darkendemey890 2 жыл бұрын
@@ThePhilosophicalMisfit Yeah his train of thought is wrong. Of course nobody calls themselves ex-Santa Clausist because nobody calls themselves Santa Clausist or Tooth Farian either. An exvangelical is an atheist, agnostic or not, but an atheist is not an exvangelical, an atheist can be ex-muslim or ex-jew or ex-whatever. Like a sparrow is a bird but a bird isn't a sparrow.
@darkendemey890
@darkendemey890 2 жыл бұрын
@@ThePhilosophicalMisfit I have to correct myself: an exvangelical isn't even always an atheist either. Some people convert to other religions, so a Muslim or a Jew can be an exvangelical too.
