I asked my husband out. We had a mutual friend on fb that he hit him up asking what my deal was lol! He said he was worried I'd be a catfish! When we met I was working alot, so I really didnt have time to wait around. We were either going to go out, or not. I think he was taken back by me being so upfront. But he was shy, so I think it made things easier. It worked out, we are married now.

Girls will legit have a guy they like, and instead of flirting with him they go flirt with random dudes (or even his homies) right in-front of him. And their explanation for it is that they wanted to make the guy they liked jealous so he’d like them back. I’ve even had this happen to me, but the girl went so far as to date my homeboy because I wasn’t getting the hint, then eventually broke-up with him because I was too supportive of their relationship. This “game” people play is ridiculous.

@Britt Lyn, Aba & Preach uploaded a react video about how women "approach" men a year or so ago. The woman, who was an Asian looking woman, possibly Asian, was giving hints or approaching/attraction hints to a guy and when none of them worked, she got up and walked out of the restaurant, calling the man of her interest on her way out a jerk. How is looking around the place in that guy's direction, possibly hoping that he'll speak or at least look at her, pushing a napkin or handkerchief on the floor, hoping that he'll pick it up and give it to you or stretching your arms behind your back APPROACHING A MAN?!! Who in the hell would interpret those things as an approach or an invitation to approach that woman or ANY woman? Who?! Like Preach said in that video, "USE YOUR WORDS! You're a grown woman. Use your words! Damn! And you have the nerve to get mad and call the guy a jerk? Use your words!" Anyway, you have said that you're not going to do that anymore. Well, it's not me that you need to convince that you can and will use your words to tell a man that you're attracted to that you want to date him, be with him or just have sex with him. Most guys, unlike almost all women, aren't used to being approached by any woman or spoken to by any woman that is attracted to him and would like to explore and enter a relationship with that man, have a one night stand or be sex buddies/friends with benefits. A minority of men have that happen to them often or constantly, but the majority of men rarely, if ever, have that experience of a woman that is attracted to them walk up to them, look in the man's eyes, and say that "I thought you are a very handsome/sexy man and I wanted to take a chance and have a one night stand with you, be your sex buddy, friend with benefits or your girlfriend and I would want you to be mine and be with me." I haven't said anything like this at all ever in my life, but coming from a dude who doesn't like subtle hints of attraction from women and prefers and strives to be direct and honest, even at the risk of not getting the woman that I want, those words can help you if you need or would like words to use in your very next encounter with a man of your interest. You don't have to use exactly those words. They're only an idea or guide for you to think of how you want to express in words how you feel about the man. Just be direct and honest with yourself and with the man in that moment.

Some people are straight up thristy. They come off too strong or put in so much energy and effort when the other isn't at that level yet or at all. Which is the problem with a lot of the ways women flirt. Either the guy is not in a position to know, such as that she's putting more effort than usual into her appearance for you; or it's stuff they do when with friends as well, such as being engaged in the conversation or laughing. And you can't always tell if she's laughing because you're genuinely funny or is trying to endear herself. I work with a woman that will act cute when she's asking me for something that puts me out a little. That could be because she likes me or just how she is with everyone to not come off as demanding.

As far as you're concerned in your situation, that wasn't direct with your words, so you still were hinting at your attraction for your man because in that scenario, you did not say that you want to explore a relationship with him, date him or bang him, unless you stated those things later or you're keeping your speech Rated PG or PG-13 for KZbin's censors, but it's probably more applicable to men than women being censored. Anyway, good job on attracting your man, although not entirely direct in the words, unless he knew and noticed what you said and behaved by how you said your words and behaved in your actions. I don't like, do nor pick up on attraction cues from women in their body language, but I can on the non attraction cues. Of course, I'm learning to be more direct and honest with women in expressing my attraction to them and risk being shot down, even if it's a gentle shot down or harsh shot down. Once in my younger years, I went up to a girl who was with her friends to as her out, I never asked her in the end and I’ll tell you why. I've had girls say that. Frustrating. Although one time I was going home from school on the bus, I would have been in like year 7 or 8 and these 2 older girls from like year 10 or 11 came and sat behind me and said "wow, you're so cute, I love your hair, can I touch it?" I said "yeah sure" They continued "Wow your hair is so soft and I love the colour" I was so happy hearing these compliments, the older guys at the back of the bus were all cheering and clapping saying things like "get in there mate, the older girls like ya, woohoo" The girls said "come sit up the back of the bus with us, we'll look after you." So I went up there and hung out with them, chatting and was such a kool experience, I had no idea how to engage in any sort of relationship or anything, so nothing came of it. I don't think they were actually looking to date me, more so just thought I was cute and wanted to tell me, who knows maybe they wanted to boost my confidence.

We’re still good friends to this day and I felt so happy when he told me afterwards, “I really appreciate you for having the courage to tell me this. You’re a really great person.” He gave me a hug and he was really sweet. Not all rejections are bad. Go shoot your shot and don’t be scared of the results. That's because were taught it doesn't happen by society and that if it does, they're just messing with us. Not to mention we get rejected so often, most of us don't see ourselves as capable of being desirable enough that a girl/woman would go out of her way to approach us. Not to mention how insanely rare it is for us to get a compliment, unless you're movie star/model grade in looks. Story time: There was this girl I had a massive crush on. Problem was we were young and her dad forbid her to talk with boys. So skip several years down the road, she's still the cutest girl I've ever met, and I still have a massive crush. We're older now, so I get her number, and we finally get to know each other. I spent a solid couple months playing this "coy" (stupid) game where I'd tell her about this super pretty girl that I had a major crush on, so I could eventually tell her that the mystery girl was her all along. I thought I was being smart. Nah, I was being a coward. A stupid coward. She rejected me of course. But ever since then I've promised myself that if I ever meet another girl that I like, I'm not going to be a coward and be upfront about my interest. Learn from my mistake fellas. What I learned as I kept going was it gets easier, then your game gets better. I also became much more social as a person in general doing this and in my life personally I felt just better. Talked to people and girls with ease now. Also workout. It isnt for everyone but I got really into MMA and self trained and that helped me as a bonus to my confidence. Also started noticing when women were checking me out and when they'd hit on me. Takes time trust me. Shit didn't happen over night for me but put in the work and you'll reap the rewards. We all face rejections in life, but growth is about bouncing back for failure, and if you’re getting 100% no all the time, then it’s time to took a good look at yourself and figure what it is that makes you undesirable, ask around, people will tell you what you need to change. If you’re struggling with your identity a relationship will only make it worst, people bring their best and worst into relationships and if you are not strong in yourself the relationship will most likely just break you down further. If you have no confidence, start from a place where you feel the most comfortable. Look for mentors, read books, start interacting with people ( at a pace in which you’re only mildly uncomfortable) offline. Luckily, if confidence doesn’t come naturally, you can build it as a skill. Think of it like learning to talk, or walk, or write, all of it was hard at one point and you keep practicing and even if you’ll never be amazing, you’ll be decent, you can do a whole lot with decent. I’m a super introvert and I’ve had a girl approach me and it was so awkward lol. Especially since she asked my age, said “oh”, walked away for like 5 minutes then came back and THEN asked me out. After she walked away I looked stoic and calm but inside I was scared and anxious af. Second time around I got a good look at her and she looked much younger than me and must’ve thought I was her age Bc I’m a short guy. And I fumbled over my words trying to reject her politely. Ruined my mood for the rest of the day.

Do you ever get put in the situation where you know you like each other and she asks you out. But instead of saying yes the nervous adrenaline kicks in and you say something awkward like “Maybe we should get to know each other first.”

"You're letting your fear hold you back. You're in stuck in purgatory, you're not going to heaven or hell." Wooosh needed to hear that. Also you took this dude's problem seriously and gave him a sincere answer, I am impressed.
