My first track will be in Washington and from there I will be heading east to the Midwest and drifting all over at local tracks along the way! piedmont raceway in north Carolina is an absolute blast. highspeed corners, phat entry's, its got it all. there's also another part of the complex that has a SUPER tight course that takes tons of skill and dedication if you're up for that. incase you want to see how fast the r34 will shred the 1/8 mile there's a drag strip too.

May next year is Hyperfest (Virginia International Raceway) which I guarantee you would love. 3 days of drifting, racing, off roading, and partying all packed into one event. LZ, the RTR boys, TJ Hunt, Hert from Hoonigan, and a couple other youtubers attend so you would prolly fit right in :)

Wish I could have my car done. Getting closer thou. But if your driving across Washington through northern Idaho on the 90 I live in Kellogg Idaho, a fun little stop in Kellogg and can ride one of the longest gondolas in America up to the ski resort. Great views and bike trails during the summer

Wish I could come out to meet at USAIR. Just recently attempting to drift my RX8 as I only have experience racing on circuits, mostly in Civics lol! Owned my RX8 for 7 years and only tracked it, but wanting to try something new brought me to Great Lakes Dragway's skid pad. Have fun and hope you get the fun back! I know all to well what its like to want to step away.

@@HaugenRacing with all the stock grannies on car, I have been finding it a bit difficult to drift at low speed. Not to mention I am trying to unlearn over a decade of driving habits picked up racing FWD. I've owned the car for 7 years and defaulted as my backup track car. But I recently found out like the Z you can't disable the TDC and DSC completely. Whilst doing a single cone drill, I was told that I nearly melted one of my rear calipers lol! Seems DSC OFF doesn't mean exactly that, as it apparently allows the braking TCS to still engage slightly. So main take away is that I lack the aggression as I always focused on smooth inputs. I'm getting the feel for it, just seems to be easier at speed on a circuit to initiate vs on a small skid pad. After 2 nights at Great Lakes Dragway I finally started getting a grip on single cone drills, now I just need to get to being able to transition. A lot to learn still, and some changes to the car would make it easier to drive, however since it isn't a dedicated drift car that my wife also drives. I can't go about welding the diff, and removing the yaw control modules on this one. Thankfully I have a white RX8 roller that has been sitting around for some time now. Just need to get it running...

Matt, I don't know do you read all the comments but I will try to give you some hint :) What I bothering you for last few months - car problems. For me a mind-set for competetive (and to be ohnest even generally) drifting, is such: YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR. WITH ANY CAR :) This is a bit sad, but without such thinking, you will suffer. Then there are 3 ways to deal with it: 1. you are driver and builder at the same time, so you are keeping the car in shape alone. More time, less driving, but less money needed. Simple, but hard at the same time. 2. you are just the driver, so you HAVE TO HAVE DEEEP POCKET :D and have a full time mechanic/team with you. They are working, you are playing. Simple, and hard at the same time like above, but from other aspect. 3. something in the middle: you are a "midi-oker" mechanic, you have same friends with you to put all together. Sometimes works, sometimes not. But you have to have some mechanical knowladge. TO THE FINISH: in my opinion - you should try to put yourself in one of those 3 points. Still in my opinion: now you are in NONE of those. Try to consider do your further drifting/yt career should not focus to try be/feel good in one of those points. Other way you will be still sufering, but just in America, not in Japan. Simple as I can wrote: you need more money or you need more mechanical skills or more mechanic friends :) That's how I see you nowadays. And that everyting above means, that I wish you best of luck :) Cause other way I will be not wasting my time to write in foreign language ;) Cheers!

I was so confused, you put up my local track Drift evergreen which is in Pennsylvania, they are both evergreen so it’s an easy mistake to make. That would have been a hefty trip in a couple of days lol

There’s drift events in braselton ga every other Friday night from 5-10pm at Lanier raceplex and there’s tons of seat time you should check it out it’s hosted by caffeine and octane

PARC is in my hometown and unfortunately they are still battling with the county to be able to have drifting at the complex. Hopefully they can get it resolved sooner rather than later. Its always a good time out there.
