@@alceusrydan6237 I agree. Taro didn't even have the "win the race for yourself and yourself only" mentality that a lot of the others had in the realms, not to the highest of extents at least. Besides, Taro wasn't that far in front of Kadeem. He was just a bit in front of him. Kadeem got himself captured because he didn't try evading or taking the drone out in any way, but instead chose to keep in front and block it. Or it was just poor writing done for the sake of plot.

Really, it was unusual even at the time for a diecast toy car producer to have a show, and it will never happen again. It was the perfect time in media, and it wasn't even really marketing - I mean it was, but they really didn't HAVE to...and they went surprisingly hard out of pure passion. Edit: those are real engine noises - I remember reading somewhere that they recorded a ton of different high-displacement engines revving just because.
