Despite the fact that these movies are basically big product placement, these movies really did have one of the most creative concepts I've ever seen. And one of most simplest but almost awesome multiverse I've ever seen. I mean if you said to me on street that someone made a show that explains how racing cars can save the multiverse back in 2002 I would have thought you were talking bullshit. And the action being this awesome? Seriously, can you make car driving any more awesome then with these movies?

HERES! BENDY! Oh Yeah! The idea of a high stakes race through the multiverse in custom made cars is just awesome. And the stakes are even higher in acceleracers. Plus I loved how World Race was building up to a race through the actual hot wheels city. Again despite being a blatant product placement.

if they mean I-35 that's a 1500 mile road with just about the same amount of environments as Highway 35; starting from desert in south Texas, the swamp of Houston, and the cold states of the north, ending in a major city. Don't think there's any pyramids on it though haha

Back then I thought it was just an average racing game, looking back though, GOD DAMN that was a fucking masterpiece, beautiful tracks, excellent, responsive controls, cars that all felt unique and a kick ass sound track, all without any stupid gimmicks, sure you had the pick up to unlock shortcut routes, but that required skill to get, wasn't a guarantee that you'd be able to get to it, and unlocked it for every for a short time. As silly, fun racing games go, that game was pure skill expression, so winning against your friends felt like a real achievement.

20 years go by fast since Hot Wheels World Race. I was born around the time when this came out. I loved this movie. When I was 9 I found this movie at an indoor rummage sale at a Lutheran School and my mom bought it for me at the time and when I popped it in my vhs player I knew it would be special to me due to loving cars growing up. Especially Hot by Smash Mouth was a hit for me. Can't believe the World Race Fandom is still alive until this day.

Most people's first intro to Smash Mouth was Shrek, for me it was this song in this movie. Doesn't matter though cause what a band and what a singer. 🤘🤘
