There are so many people who try to compare Wolf with Eddie ... and to me they're two different kinds of musician. Wolf can play anything. He's a drummer first, but can play just about any instrument at a very high level. His first album was not only produced and mixed by himself. But he did all the vocals, and played every instrument on the album (Hence the joke about firing himself during the band practice ... as in this video he's introducing the guys in his touring band). Eddie was a great guitar player and keyboardist... but wolf is ALL AROUND GREAT. i'm a huge fan obviously. The one thing he did inherit from Eddie, and this is very likely because he learned through osmosis playing with his ol'man since he was what? 15?? with Van Halen. So.... he inherited Eddie's impeccable sense of timing. His performance at the Taylor Hawkins Celebration Concert, playing eddie's parts in Hot For Teacher ... i mean, close your eyes and you'd have thought it was Eddie Van Fricken Halen. every nuance was like eddie. It's just Wolf chooses not to always play like that.. he has his own style. and that's what i like about it... and he completely unapologetic about not playing Van Halen stuff at his shows. I dig it.

This man hit the genetic mother load! He is an EXTREMELY TALENTED and EXPERT musician and songwriter like his dad and to a point his uncle. His production and mixing abilities are great. AND he can act just as GOOD as his mom!! And just a handsome, but different to his dad! He quite literally got every talent gene both families carry! Then you had his intelligence, humor and humble nature too it. HOLY SHIP BATMAN!!!!

If you didn’t know - all the guys in the music video are the ones who play in his live band. Including the drummer, Garrett Whitlock, formerly of Tremonti. Believe it’s still Wolfie on all the recordings though 🔥

Wolfgang Van Halen sang and played every instrument on both Mammoth WVH and Mammoth WVH II albums. His touring band consists of Wolfgang Van Halen · Frank Sidoris touring rthym guitarist for Slash and Myles Kennedy) · Jon Jourdan (I forgot where they found Jordan, but he is awesome and fun to watch live) · Ron Ficarro (bass) · Garrett Whitlock (previous drummer for Tremonti) The Wolfies in this video is a continuation of the Wolfies in Wolfgang's first track, Don't Back Down on his first album to represent the fact he plays everything. In the first video, the Wolf drummer was always late. On the second album, Wolf thought it would be a great idea to fire the other Wolfies to introduce his live band. I hope the Wolfies are brought out on the third album. It's hilarious. The bartender may be Wolf's uncle Pat from his mom's side.

YES! The Warning. I heard MONEY at its radio premiere in the US. International Women’s Day 2022, lots of good stuff on the airwaves that day. Fuckin’ Mammoth though, I saw them play on The Young Guns Tour with Dirty Honey and they stole the show. Radio hits, then-unreleased tracks, and even an Alice In Chains cover (“Them Bones”). Wolfie and the boys nailed it.

If you have to lookup that Wolfgang is Eddie's son, you probably shouldn't be one of the first people reacting to this video. Not to mention, his musical abilities are astounding and should be mentioned. I feel like this is a hurry up reaction to score views, when WVH deserves more than this. And it's a wood block and not a cowbell. Jesus.

The riff at the end is part of the solo from Ice Cream Man … Diver Down.

Theres history. The Outlaws had three guitar players. Green Grass and High Tides wouldnt have sounded the same with only one. Live Mammoth trades licks off between Wolf and the other guys. It really thickens the rythm section. And Wolfs not trying to be his dad, because thats impossible. Hes stated this in interviews. His music roots go deeper and into different areas.
