We currently know of two Factions in 1999, the Scaldra, which you fight in the Demo, which are either government/mercenary units that are fighting against the infestation with "Effervon" gas and toxins (all the neon green lights and sacks that they have) and as far as we know are just human soldiers. Then, the other faction is the Technocyte infestation that seems to be influenced by The Man In The Wall.

Scaldra is a military faction with a goal to destroy the Technocyte infection and eradicate anyone infected with the strain. The government established the Scaldra as the muscle while Entrati established himself as the Doctor who heals those who are afflicted by Technocyte. The Hex are the group of the volunteers for Dr. Entrati with a goal to either rescue or capture or eliminate Dr. Entrati for the cure of Technocyte. The third faction is the infestation or the Techrot who employ 5 agents of its own, the enemy allegedly created by Entrati to prevent Wallie from invading him and spread out to infect all living and non organic beings into one infestation hive. The last faction to join the party of Y2K is us, The Tenno.

2:36 to 3:05 this. This got me feeling the same when playing Duviri for the first time and I have been enjoying playing that gane mode every time I get a chance to do so, farming materials and fishing. Same goes with Railjack as I love plundering the space skies as a captain. Also back in 2017 I saw old clips of people being hyped when Plains of Eidolon first teased and showed, it weirdly works, giving something different but feels like warframe.

Ok so completely unrelated: Im a new player, started around a month ago. I wanted to obtain Wisp Prime due to the whole stealth thing and also being the most easily accessible one at the time (i had main blueprint and neuroptics) When i was grinding the Citrine mission, some guy asked me what Warframe i was trying to get i respond with Wisp Prime After that match he gave me around 3-4 relics with Wisp Prime blueprints in them. Afterwards i used all them and no avail. 2 days later i attempted more and more until i got tired and went to trading (Originally i thought trading sucked due to constant toxicity) First trade i asked for chassis and the guy responded with “Im looking for Plat sorry”. Obviously i was fine with this because getting plat early game is hard Second trade went the same way, except he was looking for guass prime stuff, so i was like whatever, makes sense Guass is pretty cool ngl third trade some guy gave me Wisp Prime chassis for a bunch of prime stuff i didn’t need, mainly unused or uneeded. Anyway, i just wanted to know why the hell is this community so nice??? I mean, it could just be me being around toxic ones or… am i delulu? (Currently im building her stuff, and in a couple hours i can finish it) Ty for listing to my insane yapping ^_^

The community was built on collaboration and teamwork! So everything we do works for the benefit of each other. We have the problems you'd normally have like scalpers the occasional assholes and all that but we have systems even around them! Also if you're ever looking to run specific relics go into the recruitment chat and say that and usually you'll have people want to run the relics with you. Have your fun and don't forget we're all fighting together fellow tenno! 🤘

4:00 what you talk about the stealth guns is my main reason I absolutely love stealth or silenced weapons. Something about the sound and feeling of "and noone even knows im here" just tickles the right part of my brain. The design and sound design of the pistol feels like a love letter to all the old stealth/spy games of old. It was the highlight of the demo for me.

Totally. I wish Warframe would get it's crap together and give us the stealth gameplay back. I'd love for them to actually make weapons sound suppressed when we slot in mods like 'Hush' or 'Suppress', but man, that'd be a lot of work at this point!

Warframe 1999 is basically Dark Sector revisioned, maybe you could give it a go even just for the sake of Warframe references. It was a single player game made by Digital Extremes in 2008.

I’ve watched 5 of these demo play through videos from different creators NO ONE Actually Played With The Bike! I feel like this was the focus of the demo, it literally drives like a Warframe, double jump, infinite slide, the whole kit! It was a lot of fun but everyone missed it, dropped the bike, and just ran to the end!?

If anyone wants to know the lore of the proframe's, here's a basic rundown. Dr. Entrati traveled to the year 1999 during the first outbreak of the tecnocyte virus. He played the role as a savior, and 'primed' a handful of people who were affected before infusing them with the Helminth strain and turning them into Protoframes. He took the Helminth strain and designs from the Orokin era, and modified them so that the humans host won't be completely feral and don't need to rely on an operator like our Warframe's. So yes while they are called Protoframe's, they actually only exist because of the current Warframe's we all know.

Look up The game Dark Sector. It was the original game that became Warframe. 1999 is basically a prequel to Warframe. It's also what Dark Sector was.
