IM608 Pro Training - How to replace a used PCM On A 2012 Chrysler Town And Country

Hey Guys, Curtis here! Today I have a nice training for you as I will be covering how to configure a used PCM module on a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country. In this training you learn the following:
-What tools and setup are required to do this procedure.
-Important terms applying to Chryslers vehicles.
-Identify the Chrysler immobilizer systems.
-How to know which procedures that need to be done after a module has been replaced
-How to replace a PCM with im608 Pro.
Chrysler can be quite tricky in terms of replacing modules but this presentation should be a good framework that you can use in your workshop.

Hi Curtis I wonder if that same theory applies to sensor connectors; dodge connectors are sometimes black or grey should the harness connector be the same color as the sensor connector in order for the sensor to fit and function?

Hi sir, I was trying to add a key for a dodge caravan 2008. I used my Im608 to retrieve the 4 digit pin. It gave me 2 sets of pin and both are incorrect. Why are the pins are invalid? There is an issue with original forbik key. It had to take a 30 mins rest before it can turn the ignition on and dashboard to come on to start the vehicle.

The black key is a non security key and the gray or tan is a security key. The only black security key I know of is the emergency pod for vehicles built with a WIN module.

The IM508 will have the PCM replacement option. Im just not sure if it will have the special function to do the reset

Hello curtis i think you have the black and the grey keys mixed up so the black key is not a transponder key its the grey key that has the transponder in it so black no theft grey has theft

Sorry your wrong a grey rubber key is transponder, black rubber no chip, black remote keys have chips, if it’s Fobik has chip

I did AKL on the Alfa a few weeks ago. It’s a Chrysler system, and you just need to use the 12-+8 SGM bypass cable. It’s not easy to get ahold of, you need to drop the airbag and stick your arm way up behind the dashboard to get to it. Once connected, it’s no different than programming a Jeep as far as I could tell.

I did a full diagnostics on the car without a problem. 2018 and below added key no problem but 2019 there isn't even a menu to add a key on the im608. But thank you for you comment back. The Pro has a better serial programer and a few other extra accessories. The software on the tablets are the same. the pro cant do the scn coding. It requires a different tool
