Entry level also only has 1 cooling fan and missing a heat pipe as well. I bought my wife the mid tier purple iMac with an upgrade to the 512GB storage and 16GB RAM.

This was a joy and pleasure to watch, and you did an outstanding job. Glad to see Apple going back to their roots by bringing back the "Fun" and "Color" to their consumer desktop line-up. Own, all the glossy white models 20-inch G4 iMac, 20-inch G5 iMac, and 24-inch Intel iMac. However, after they changed the design to silver, I loss all interest. Because, the metal models of the iMac always appeared to be "cold" and "heartless" while, the glossy white models were 'warm" and "friendly". Daily, I still use the 20-inch G5 iMac as my back-up desktop as well as a home office over the air HD TV system. The only exception is with, the now discontinued space gray 27-inch Intel iMac Pro model. It still looks very cool and great with its sharp color matching accessories (smile...smile).

I heard the red iMac was the fastest one, did your testing show confirm this?
@techexamined3 жыл бұрын
Lol... there isn’t a speed difference because of color... the only thing that speeds them up, possibly, is the base model only having one fan, upgrading to 16GB of RAM or getting more storage..

@@techexamined Have an HP EliteBook work laptop (ugh). Have 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 w/MKB 😍, 2019 MBP 13”. + iP11ProMax. Thought 24” iMac (no desktop in gazillion years) would be perfect complement. Replacing Dell XPS laptop (6yrs😍). Use: Email, documents, movies, web search, and various websites for volunteer political phone banking, covid contact tracing, etc aren’t functionally optimal on iPad. Some won’t work at all

@@NomusaMagical this is a gonna be a big change going from Windows to Mac OS.. have you ever used a Mac computer before? When I switched I didn’t think I would like it but it was so nice not having as many issues as my PC did..
@NomusaMagical3 жыл бұрын
@@techexamined Def was a STEEP learning curve. 2019 MBP was my first experience with MacOS (though I’ve had iPads back to #3). Heavy Windows user since mid-1980s. I almost felt like a computer rookie! Flip side, my grandson cut his teeth on a Mac so no big deal. I bought his mom an Apple IIC so no issue for her either. Though she and SIL both use Dell laptops from work. He prefers Windows and Surface Pro. Mechanical engineer and oddly, a really accomplished artist.
