Also you should remember that many in Gen X were raised by fathers that spent time in Vietnam. Those vet's were treated terribly and never received services they needed and were not good parents. Things like PTSD were not taken seriously by society. I saw Vets and their teens go at it with fists when I was growing up and some of those kids probably think that is how you raise children. Hopefully the pattern doesn't continue with vets out of the latest incursions and impacts another generation negatively. Please tell me none of you are taking the lady doing the Emperor Palpatine act seriously. The tattoo guy I'm sure is just trolling for fun also. My uncle is gen x. Because of the things that happened to him as a kid he got addicted to drugs, got schizophrenia, has bipolar, and is extremely violent. Also, he got DIAGNOSED WITH NARCISSISM BY AN ACTUAL PSYCHOLOGIST. How does somebody even achieve that????? All those “lessons” as kids didn’t teach him a damn thing, in fact it started him on drugs. Now he refuses to get a job, and leeches off my grandma bc she still loves him. I'm a 47 yr.old gen xer and couldn't agree more with this statement. I works with people from many generation backgrounds. From boomers to zers and I can get along with everyone of them so long as they are decent people. As much as I appreciate this video making fun of how ridiculous these generation online wars are, this doesn't exist in real life. I've never had issues with someone based on the generation they come from. The only issues I would have with someone is if they were rude or being jerks. And those exists in every generation.

I'm 47, my dad worked in tech when I was a kid. We had a PC before most people. He just retired a couple of years ago. I'm glad I was always around it and don't feel much different than my kids about the new and evolving tech they grew up with. However, I vastly prefer to go camping than staying at a resort. Really unplugging feels like a huge weight off my chest and I can breathe.

Early 1980s kids would be between Gen X and Millennial, depending on cultural background and upbringing. This goes for any generation really. You can be born technically as Millennial, but raised as a Gen X due to being born into an old fashion household. This is why I hate the Generation War thing, because depending on culture and upbringing, you are highly influenced by multiple generations, and not just from peers and the specific trends of that time period. Case in point, 2010s, seeing Lost/Great Generation era grandma doing TikTok dance trends and duck-face pictures in the bathroom like a Gen Z teen, while a Gen Z embracing the music and outfits from the Lost/Great Generation or Baby Boomer Generation. Seeing a Gen z or Alpha wearing and enjoying the things that I did as a kid should be something to be happy about, not insulted.
