I find it ridiculous that companies restrict certain features for their newest phones. I have an s22 ultra, with one ui 5.1 and I should have access to this feature smh.

You should be able to do a similar thing in which you use the lasso tool in editing to cut out the item. You would have to draw around what you wanted to extract it instead of just pressing and holding. This method is more accurate from what I've seen.

The thing that most people would want to do with a clipped image is paste it into another photo, which you cannot do with Gallery. So this is pretty useless unless you want to paste to Excel.

It doesn't work anything like as smoothly as this video implies. If you have already clipped an image it seems to stay in the buffer and there is no easy way to then select a new object - it assumes you want to paste the previous object. The software is half baked at best

The background is not part of the image. It's transparent.

HI! That's such a cool feature that I want to try out. Do you know if I can use an image from a screenshot not from a photo but from clipart online and crop it out instead? Please let me know if I can obtain the clipart using the S23 editior and transfer it onto another photo? Lets say I want to obtain a butterfly clipart online and would like to crop that butterfly and transfer that as an png to my new photo? That would be so awesome if it can do that!! Please let me know!!

You can also drag aline around the object if a finger hold does not pull the object out of the photo. A screen shot does not make a difference.

How do you place on top of another picture?

After opening a pic, open the editing tool. Choose the square happy face with a pen on it. Choose the sticker option. (U must have saved. The cut out image as a sticker) If u don't see the sticker, open the gallery (ikon) at the bottom & import it from the "Clipped Image" file folder. Then choose that image and add it. Size it & move it where u want. You can add multiple stickers. If the clipped image is saved as an image, you can use it in other apps.
