There's a known problem with some gas cylinder office chairs too. You know, the ones where you pull the lever while sitting and they get shorter, but stand up and pull the lever and they rise up. There's a thing called compression ignition, where if you compress a sealed gas quickly, all that heat can get focused to the point that whatever's in that sealed container bursts into flames. (There are actual survival firestarters that use this principle.) But what can happen in crappily made cylinders is you get a mixture of air and some kind of flammible oil in there left over from the manufacturing process. You sit down too quickly one day, that piston compresses to the point of auto-ignition just like in a diesel engine. That sudden expansion literally blasts the piston like a cannon straight up through the chair, and through the ass sitting on it. Realistically though, it's very very rare. I've never personally seen it happen, nor known anyone that it's happened to. Only from third-hand accounts online, which naturally get a disproportinate amount of attention due to how rare it actually is.

14:45 australian here, the 'taco' is what's called a sausage sizzle. it's basically a sausage between a diagonally folded piece of bread, sometimes with onion and sauce (usually tomato). it being called a taco is a first for me. usually it's just called a sausage sizzle. sometimes volunteers make sausage sizzles outside bunnings (hardware store). these specific sausage sizzle is locally called a 'bunnings snag'. as for the arrow, the picture is a coles (big supermarket chain) advertisement. usually, the hand arrow is paired with a song that basically goes 'down, down, prices are down' as a song announcing sales. ironically enough, they're currently under fire for price gouging.

4:07 That is so f-ed up. We lost one of our pets in Nov 2023 when we were in the process of moving...literally had to take him to the emergency vet in the freaking u-haul. It was such a bad, horrible experience that my husband, whom I've known 23 years and have NEVER seen this man shed a tear, cried. It was a really, really bad and traumatic experience. To put something like this out would only serve to open up barely closed wounds of a healing heart of someone who lost a furbaby. This is so wrong on so many levels. If I were to receive some kind of advertisement for something like this in the mail, I might lose my composure and forget my manners when I gave them a call to let them know EXACTLY how I felt in that moment. Some people may not understand the feeling because they don't get that close like that with their pets, but ours are family. They are my four-legged babies. I'll even tell my kids, "come get your brother/sister". The passing of a loved pet is the worst part of having one, for sure. It's the knowing that you love this animal, care for it, give it unconditional love and affections, and they give it back, and you only get them for a few short years. Yes, 10-12 years is short. It goes by too fast. My ex-husband took my dog to the shelter as a "punishment" to me because he got mad at something I said. I left him 2 weeks later after I got my check and I tried to go get her, but the volunteer that was there the day he took her had adopted her. I was told he lived on a huge piece of land, blah blah blah, and she was happy, blah blah blah....nothing I could do legally to get her back. I tried. Had her for almost 6 years, and she even protected me a few times from my ex. It's been almost 7 years now and I think of her constantly. She'd be about 12 now, so I'm not sure if she's still around, but I hope that the dude that adopted her gave her a good life. She was my girl... and yes, I still cry over it. The trauma and pain doesn't go away, and unfortunately, that's attached to it. So, yeah, screw those people. I hope their business fails horribly and the person who thought this was a good idea steps on a lego every single night when they have to go to the bathroom (and can't find it to remove it), then stubs their toe on the doorframe as they enter the bathroom, and then gets back into bed and can't get comfortable again, spending the rest of the night wide awake and staring at the ceiling until the alarm goes off. For the rest of their life. Every. Single. Night.

Crocks are actually really good. I didn’t care for them either at first, but they have an ultra wide toe box and are zero drop. The ability to wear them as either a sandal or a strapped shoe is great.

16:18 That's probably to be more precise about the time. With 5 minutes/1 hour there are 30 degrees and within 1 minute only 6. With a 24 hours clock there would only be 3 degrees within 1 minute which would make a precise telling of the time more difficult.
