The way this would work is that a snake eats a rather large meal, and said meal starts to decay inside the snake's stomach before it's digested completely, and fills with flammable Hydrogen and Methane gasses. Eventually, the pressure of this gas buildup and the digestion of the prey's skin will cause it to burst, causing the snake to burp up said gas, and if there just happens to be a spark or open flame in exactly the right spot, it'll ignite the gas, and there you go.
