I got this short film by coinccident in a local flea market. This film contains many production details of the Bolex movie machine factory. These clips seem to be hard to see in the past. I uploaded them and shared them for everyone to watch. If there is any infringement, please Contact me.
I have added AI recognition subtitles to the video, but I haven't proofread it. If there are any mistakes, please point them out in the comment area. Thanks for watching

absolutely fascinating. They're a work of exquisite Swiss craftsmanship, the perfect expression of mid-century technology. I have a 1962 H8 REX Bolex cine camera. 99% sure it was my Pop's who lent it 2 my Uncle, neglected 2 get it back (typical slack Pop), Uncle & Pop pass on, sits with Cousin all the ensuing decades till it's returned 2 me quite by chance in. Had it CLA'd & kitted out with the trio of primes & the BEAUTIFUL French SBerthiot zoom. Now i need a dolly & source some 8mm film. Would b cool 2 make stop-frame animation movies. Have viewed that Beyond The Bolex DVD biopic. Absolutely engrossing!

So he is inspecting a governor for the H series cameras? So cool. I’d love to be able to converse with someone who was involved in the production of Bolex Paillard cameras. I realize that too much time has passed, but I can still dream. I have over a dozen H16 and H8 models.

Oh how I wish I could have worked at Paillard back then. I’m sure it would have been fascinating.. a job, yes. But a fascinating one!

I would gladly spend any length of time necessary watching films with Bolex and or Paillard as the subjects. Alyssa Bolsey has a great documentary titled “Beyond the Bolex” about her great grandfather Jacques Bolsey, the man responsible for these wonderful cameras.
