From my experience with this house it’s a lot like Parfums de Marly were the skin scent is different from the scent in the air around you. Cape Heartache on my skin smells very dry and piney, but in the air I can smell a well balanced strawberry note. With every storm a serenade on my skin I get a very strong vetiver note, but in the air I get all the aquatic, sea salty notes mixed with a slight vetiver. Slow Explosions on my skin comes off very leather and saffron heavy, but in the air I get a very nice green kind of rose mixed with spices and sweet apple. Overall, love the house and I just bought Slow Explosions, Memoirs of a Trespasser, and Saint Julep. In the future, I will definitely be adding to the collection!

Hi Marc have you tried Celtic Fire, by Union? Opens very much like smouldering Boom fire with pine needles, the dry down is beautiful, challenging but beautiful.

My favorites are memoirs of a trespasser, slow explosions, and the soft lawn. I dont like a city on fire and bull's blood.

My favorite is tcatc, the immediate lemon leather reminds not of the Shelby cobra in the story, but my stepdads ugly ass black and pastel yellow '57 bel air that I used to ride with him to the used auto lot he owned when I was like 5-8 yrs old, then it kicks into the leather and a dry hay, which then brings me back to my late teen early 20's when I lived in upstate new York, I had a beat up '68 firebird and driving past the farms and helping my friends dad bale hay during the summer, God I love this fragrance.

They definitely have a similar style across his scents. He should have sent a sample set so you could try them all! Saint Julep is a fave, along with O, Unknown, Yesterday Haze, and The Cobra and the Canary. But I haven’t smelled them all. The oud one- Whispered Myths -is nice but not for me. I don’t like the added woods in Memoirs of a Trespasser, but that’s popular. I really don’t like the strawberry in Cape Heartache, but I love the idea with those notes. I love cade, too; I need to try A City on Fire. Lol

I have a city on fire and cape heartache will be buying saint julep yesterday haze and cobra and the canary and many more for some reason I dont like slow explosions or memoirs of a trespassers

A City on Fire is much darker already. Burning barbershop the smoke shares with the uplifting notes.

Every Storm a Serenade is my favorite. Cobra and the Canary, St. Julep, Memoirs of a Trespasser, City on Fire and Cape Heartache are also good. Of those I've tried, can't think of one I don't like. Still haven't tried them all, like Bull's Blood, Slow Explosions and some others.
