Such a nice and calm jam, love it 👍 …and those patch notes… - one can only hope for such patch notes across all videos. Really amazing. Thank you for that 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you!! I’m so happy you liked it. You definitely motivated me to write out patch notes since your last request and I was bummed I didn’t have them. I’ll definitely keep doing it. Plus I have realized it helps me understand what I actually did. As you know most of it is just patching by intuition so writing out the patch notes helps seal in some knowledge. Thanks for the motivation! Also glad to hear it’s helpful!

I LOVE how everything random still hits consistently in the melodic space. It is very difficult for me to be able to use Marbles(Pachinko), without having a few "farts" being generated. If I am understanding your patch notes, you are quantizing through O_c, correct? (I do this also, because the quantization features of Marbles are still a bit of a wrangle for me - I'd love to be able to NOT rely on outside quantization but I am not there yet.) BTW - the patch notes are AWESOME. Something I should start doing also, but you know...laziness. 🤪 The best thing about patch notes is that it makes me realize just how little I know about this stuff - its a great help to me. Brilliant patch, Lauren, as usual. You have a knack for coaxing some beautiful and original melody out of your rig. Have a beautiful Sunday! - JC

Thank you Jim!! Always grateful for your ear and comments! 🥰 So I use o_C in quantermain but I’m using it as a quick octave shifter for the disting. It’s also quantizing but mainly used for octave shifting. I’ll keep up the patch notes! So happy that’s helpful. I know I had to really force myself to sit and do it but I promised myself I would. It’s definitely worth it.

Also just for the record, I did have some major farts out of the pachinko. I threw this through ableton and took em out.. I had to come clean 😂 that thing is finicky with the quant, I usually keep the steps between 3-4oclock which seems to work best. There’s also a way to put your own scales into it. I think Lightbath has a video on that. The Disting is also a bit finicky with the quantizing, which is what was patched into the Pachinko. It could be me, not sure yet. I am changing a bunch of parameters in the Disting. It has an internal quantization so I feel like it kind of competes when I quantize it with other stuff…. Not sure what the issue is yet. It’s all part of the learning curve. So much to figure out. I’m never bored that’s for sure.

@@Lk747CC I tried to create scales for quantization in Marbles. I didn't get far. But I need to re-visit that task, like so many other things to learn! Just keep swimming! 🐠
