The main reason for this is because most people don't believe a woman can be abusive. They think that only men are capable of abusing their partners which is gross and gives a huge disadvantage for male abuse victims. This is just rooted in sexism, same thing when she admitted to drugging and robbing men when she was a stripper, most people dismiss that either consciously or subconsciously because she's a women.
