Minor adjustment - The Killing of Mark Duggan and the subsequent riots took place from August 2011 so it was 13 years ago, not 12- also 2012 which was London Olympics was equally where there was concentrated effort to clean up the “crime” in London to make it more welcoming for the tourists etc so as I remember there was a lot of police presence around the majority of London during that time

Nah I understand what you guys are talking about and I agree with some of the points made, but you've only reacted to one part of the video which conveniently makes it look like a race attack but the whole video shows the police being punched up and attacked by the asian brothers first so in full context, I understand the anger and feeling of wanting to boot the guy in the head and being reactive. However, it doesn't justify that behaviour because it's super dangerous and the police shouldn't be getting emotional in the moment like that, as Poet said and I completely agree, but, I do understand his reaction in the moment. They approached the guy to arrest him, they wasn't aggressive, then all of sudden the asian guys started punching the police and even punching up the white lady officer to the floor, thats someones Mum just doing her job and completely shows no respect at all!! So I disagree that this was a racist thing. Again, I'm not justifying his behaviour but the full context of the video shows the police being attacked first and if they didn't attack them, this never would have happened. They would've just arrested him, and put him in the car and took him to the station. There's no smoke without fire. Big you both up though everytime, I've been watching the pod since the beginning and haven't missed a single one since. Keep them coming cos these conversations need to keep on being had. The Good, The Bad and the Ugly lol

@@osassamuel7953 I'm not here to argue so take that energy somewhere else. Just because it's easy to state 'that anger has been brewing in him for a while now' doesn't MEAN it's true. How do you know that? You don't. What I was saying is that if they simply allowed them to arrest them and complied, and didn't attack anyone then the situation would've been under control and this wouldn't have happened. I didn't say the police was right or justified, it's called being objective. I think the police officer is a prick for doing that and should be fired and didn't justify his behaviour at all, I was giving context for a wider conversation.

You cant give the public access to body cams in real time Poet. It hugely jeopardizes the ability to catch criminals. Imagine if you could give known criminals the heads up that police are in the area...

Not sure when this was filmed but the 3 fellas were attacking the police. One of them punched a female cop in the face which caused her to fall on the floor. The cop shouldn't have kicked the guy on the floor. I don't love or hate the police but I realise they have a difficult job to do and I wouldn't do it.

I love this podcast but sometimes when you talk about serious topics I have to skip through. You guys should consider getting a (black) criminologist onboard to discuss issues regarding crime and policing. The police are not here to protect us. That is a lie. The police were created to protect assets. That’s why peados and rapists get less time than white collar criminals. To join the police form you have to complete a set of tests. If you show too much empathy, your application gets rejected. That already tells you what kind of psychopaths make it into the force. And lastly, the reason why white peoples get killed more by the police is because white people statistically make up more of the population. And the difference is when a white person is killed UNJUSTLY by the police, the officer is getting remanded and/or the family get a payout. Hence why it never makes international news. Love you guys but just a few comments i had to make 💕

Agree with you on every point and came to make a similar post. I love the title of this episode, it’s so on point but it deserves a more informed conversation. I had listened to last weeks and this back to back and was disappointed with the lack of knowledge on the topics they covered. Even down to why Candice Owens is not for the black community but Chuckie is right it’s good to listen to the opps. It’s a shame they didn’t back up their topics with the possibility of continuing the conversation with someone who has the facts about UK and US law enforcement and politics.

@@dazza818their take shouldn't change. Police officers are held to a higher standard and not judge, jury and executioner. There is never a context where a man has been restrained can get kicked and stamped on by a police officer
