I haven’t put up any keyboard videos in quite a while. Been working on this one, trying to get my timing right while singing (doesn’t come as easily on keyboard as guitar for some reason). Anyway, I’m getting there! Gotta keep plugging along 😊 #keyboardcoversongs

Wonderful Amy, really like your piano playing. You are so talented. We live on the Wirral peninsula across the River Mersey from John Lennon's home city of Liverpool .The airport there is named after him and there are statues of the Beatles in the city. @@gingersnap6183 Your voice sounds great Amy. It's very hard to sing and play. When I started playing keyboards (I played guitar first and transferred my knowledge over) I was playing chords in my right hand and octave root bass notes with the left (Brian Wilson and many other artists play this way). Then I progressed on to learning chords with the left also then started to play arppegio style. I play by ear, cannot read music and I am self taught. I learned by playing ABBA songs and became inspired after reading Benny Andersson cannot read music and is self taught by transferring his accordion skills over to piano!! How amazing is that! @@TCBees73 thanks so much for the encouragement, that is exactly what I have been doing, trying to move my knowledge about notes and chords over to the keyboard from guitar. I also am self taught and cannot read music (I can read guitar tab, but that isn’t the same, ha). I am trying to play chords with right hand and octave root bass notes with left, if I try to do any kind of bass pattern with left, I get lost. I don’t know if I’ll ever get to being able to do two separate patterns simultaneously, but I am happy with my progress. I think it is about a year maybe. I really appreciate your comment, makes me feel hopeful about my approach 😊

When your right hand does fingers 1-2-3 in succession, you need to rotate your forearm clockwise as though turning a metal key. 🗝️ Right now rotation is absent.
