Pretty normal reaction. I think for many, Jackie Evancho kind of embodies the ideal. It's an illusion, as you say, but kind of not. She's a normal and good-hearted kid off stage, who jumps on the trampoline and chases lizards, but when she sings, there really is something there. In a May, 2011 NPR interview, Michele Norris marveled at her ability to channel emotion. She herself says she feels possessed by her music, and some have called her an old soul. Not bad qualities to hope for in others.

FYI - Imaginer was originally written in English, under the name "Broken Vow", by songwriter Walter Afanasieff and by singer Lara Fabian. They rewrote the lyrics especially for Jackie Evancho, in French, for her album Dream With Me 2011. The original meaning of the song, about a sad love, is completely changed in the French version to describe a dream of a peaceful world.

See the ring on her left fourth finger. This is a promise ring. This is a promise she made to her father and her Lord that she would be pure until she is with her husband. That's because it is the same Melody as Broken Vow, but the lyrics were revised and written in French specifically for Jackie Evancho by one of Broken Vow's original writers, Lara Fabian (Broken Vow was co-written by Walter Afanasieff). Josh Groban did not write Broken Vow, but was the first to record it.

HelTra91... If you look up the song "Broken Vow", it is the same song except this is in French. "Broken Vow" was sung by Lara Fabian and more recently by Josh Groban. It is about a broken marriage and forgiveness. Very sad song IMO. Anyway, back to the subject....Jackie is awesome and I love this song. It is one of my favorites AND I can relate!

There were some audio issues with this version. There is another version of this performance where the audio is much better. I'm not sure what your implication was regarding how this newlywed chose to spend their money. They make tons of money and they spent a small portion of it on celebrating their wedding. I don't see anything immoral or selfish in it ! Its their money.

Fear not because you will see it as soon as her reaction to some type of skin moisturizer clears up. She was using a new type of skin conditioner and it caused blisters to form on her skin. In her own words from her Twitter account: "Missing the ring on my finger. Got blisters on my body from bad reaction to a new moisturizer." She removed it only because she had to and not for any other reason.

No need to be rude. A simple explanation of how Broken Vow became Imaginer was all that was necessary. Please show as much respect for Yara's page, her fans, and Jackie's budding fans, as you would want for Jackie herself. By the way, Jackie's father has made it extremely clear that he feels that fans attacking naysayers (which Saltyandchips is obviously not one of), and insulting other artists, does Jackie more harm than good, and may turn people off of her. Please reconsider your approach.
