The most beautiful, angelic and heavenly voice I've ever heard belongs to Jackie Evancho. I discovered her in December 2011 when I bought "Heavenly Christmas" while spending Christmas and New Year's in Iceland, where I also was this season. I live in Norway. How beautifully she even renders one of Enya's songs, whom I'm not too familiar with. What a perfect seal on what seems to me to me a most romantic and memorable wedding.

This video confirms Jackie's voice being able to over come any electronic measures. She is performing outside and other than her mic, she is flawless in sound. That is truly a very, very hard thing to do. I have sat through many outside concerts, and even with the "band shell" or stage "walls" behind or on either side, the majority of singers and even musicians find it extremely hard or next to impossible to get a true sound that they want. Jackie is doing it with NO walls, side props and an open vista to the Ocean behind her.

Enya's sound is achieved by layering her voice as many as 80 times. Her signature sound uses simple arrangements with extensive multi-tracking vocals. The vocals are performed individually, and are then layered together to form a virtual choir, although all the voices are Enya herself. Enya's performances are "semi-live", using playback music and singing.

I believe you're right. I recall reading somewhere that Yara requested it. Considering Jackie was getting paid close to $100K for the appearance, she could well grant Yara's request for a song not in her repertoire. Jackie's fee according to one talent agency is listed at 150K-250K for USA events and close to $500K for international events. Not bad for a 12 year old! :)
