The weirdest thing about this is that the original 12"single of No Presents For Christmas was actually the very FIRST King Diamond record, released even before the debut album came out. Granted, King Diamond himself was already known by that time from his first band Mercyful Fate, but still a weird choice for the first record of a new band.

This song, if you;re curious, was his first single as a solo artist, preceding his debut album Fatal Portrait. If it belonged to an album, it'd be FP (along with the The Lake, which I think is the B-side to NPFC).

YESSS!!! King Diamond's NPFC!! He has another (quasi) Christmas song, called Little Drummer Boy, from the 2003 concept album The Puppet Master. It's not as much of a direct Christmas song, but it works. I included it on my "Heavy Metal Christmas" playlist. But NPFC always opens - no other way.

What about King’s last release from The Institute: Masquerade of Madness. King says he will release this new double cd sometime in 2023. I believe from listening to this song this will be ranked right up there with Abigail. The music is bad ass and his voice is better then ever!
