Imam al-Shafi'i: The Worshipping Saint

Imam Muhammad ibn Idris al-Shafi'i was perhaps the greatest legal theorist of human history. A pupil of Imam Malik, he strove constantly to root Muslim practice in the blessed ways of the Chosen One, upon him be peace. Thus he was honoured with the title 'Nasir al-Sunna', the Supporter of the Sunna.
This emphasis on transmission was matched by his underlining the principle of aql, intellect, in solving problems of doctrine and law.
A deeply-cultured human being, he was noted for his skill in archery and poetry, as well for his mastery of Sacred Law.

It's been a long time that I have heard Sheikh Abdul Haq Muraad. This analysis of Imam Shafa-Eae, unbelievable. Also if anyone has criticisms on Madhabs or need to understand the closeness of each Imam they need to listen to this speech. Us Sunni's have a great Faqih amongst us with their knowledge, Wisdom and indeed Intellect. They have not just opened the mind but the Eye of the Heart that will truly make us more close to Muhammad SAW and to Allah SUB WAY ALLAH! This great scholar from the UK is not just a VESSEL!!

Sounds painful! But necessary in order to not forget. Fiqh without Tasawwuf is like night without day. Balance is best. Surely Allah has made Muslims a middle people. Adab is knowing your limits and keeping Truth at the helm of Reasons ship. Otherwise reason becomes a dog of Shaytan only seeing material as real and not believing in the invisible. It's like not believing in germs because you cannot see them with the naked eye.

Would you believe what Shafa'i said about Ehlul Bait & Imam Ali عليهم السلام ? Here you are : رواه في « فرائد السمطين »(15) العلاّمة الحمويني قال : و للّه درّ القائل في مدحه(عليه السلام)و قد بلغ فيه غاية الكمال و التمام : عَليٌّ حُبُّه جُنّه قَسيمُ النار و الجَنّهْ Ali, his love is a paradise, separator of hell and heaven وَصِيُّ المُصطَفى حَقّاً إمام الإنس و الجِنّهْ The successor of the Chosen One (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم ) is the rightful imam of mankind and jinns « رشفة الصادي ص 24 » عن الإمام الشافعي قوله : و لَمّا رأيت الناس قد ذهبت بهم مَذاهبهم في أبحُرِ الغَيِّ و الجَهْلِ When I saw people lost with their sects (madhab) the seas of rebellion and ignorance, ركبتُ على اسم اللّه في سُفن النجا و هم أهْل بيْت المصطفى خاتم الرُسلِ I embarked by the name Allah in the boat of rescue and they are the Household of Al Mustapha the last of prophets صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم وأمسكتُ حَبلَ اللّه و هو ولائهم كما قد أُمرنا بالتمسُّكِ بِالحَبلِ And I took hold on to the rope of Allah, which is their custody, as we have been commanded to hold on to the rope.
