The last dish you made, meat in cabbage leaves, we do the same thing in Poland (it's called "gołąbki") but instead of bread crumbs with milk, we mix meat with cooked rice and serve it with tomato sauce :)

My husband does most of the cooking in our house and he always has to have a window to look out. He even put bird feeders and yard ornaments outside the kitchen window to increase the entertainment value. There’s something about staring outside while the pot is simmering...

Yeah it’s a game changer, especially on a hot day where you might not want to cook. My only warning for that is to be careful with vinegar. Too much vinegar for prolonged periods may strip that non-stick coating.

Those cabage rolls remind me of a meal we eat in the Balkans called "sarma", but you use fermented sour cabbage and mix the ground meat with some rice, and you can add pieces of pork belly to the pot and then cook them. It's eaten throughout winter where I live, mostly with mashed potatoes.
