Interesting, at the beginning I thought there is nothing special about incoming sounds, but by the flute it became apparent how good individual picks were made to create bright and radiating magic! :) looking forward for full masterclass. I particular how to drive and record an external synth into a stand-alone project. Do I make a midi track to play synth and receive result into audio to record, so lose another track (is there limitation of how many tracks of different kinds in a project?). Looking forward to drive 2 synths and a guitar and on board sounds. How handy is this flow? My usual project in Ableton desktop or mobile iOS Korg Gadget app is 10-20-30 tracks. What’s practical amount of stuff M+ can handle? TNX!
@imamusicmogul4 жыл бұрын
It really depends what type of stuff you loaded into the session. Like if all your pads are loaded with different sound across 4 groups then it may bog down the cpu. I’m running the beta software now and ran into situations where I maxed the CPU with 4 groups. But I recently updated the software and cpu performance seems better. So I’ll cover that in my review on we got the final software release.

@@imamusicmogul TNX! I figured one should careful with what' gets loaded into groups. Its specific to M flow if you use one/two part of a group, the rest maybe taking some cpu (or not unless have some notes?). Is there a "freeze" concept on M+ at all? Like I have Monark with two FX on a pad, can I freeze like in Ableton/Gadget/Cubase? If not freeze, s it possible to "flatten" in place? Basically what can be done to use CPU wisely.

This vid gave me inspiration to keep my mk3 for another few weeks. I bought the mk3 as my first piece of hardware. Now that I virtually do everything on logic the mk3 doesn’t get as much touches. Was debating if I should sell my mk3 to get quality sounds (omnisphere) how ever i might regret it if it will be very useful later down the road

How do you like the maschine+ when it comes to editing and arranging considering no touch screen and piano roll is small. Has this hindered your workflow? Compared to lets say editing on AKAI live mk2. Debating between the two devices and workflow is important to my decision. Would appreciate your feedback!
@kallpakk3 жыл бұрын
I would say that there's not a clear edge on either device when it comes to editing the piano roll. Maschine is more accurate, live more tactile

@davidsteffens39524 жыл бұрын
Have you used any sequenced any external midi gear with it? If so, how’d it go? And do you find yourself running into any CPU problems in it? As far as being able to make full beats (not including mixing back in the daw)
@imamusicmogul4 жыл бұрын
Not yet as far as controllers external synths. I have ran the CPU to 100 on 1 session but many sounds were loaded. Maybe over 20-30 instances of sample plugin with effects on many of the tracks. But I am running beta software and the updates I’ve been getting is making cpu performance better and better and experience better. It seems the cpu can be optimized through software updates.

imamusicmogul sounds good. Thank you. Hoping mine will ship soon

Honestly. You going to love it. I’ve been really exclusively using the plus to sketch beat ideas. Got a lot of my sound loaded on it and you can do a lot with it in stand alone. Once it supports more Kontakt instruments or other plugins from native instruments this thing will be perfect.
@davidsteffens39524 жыл бұрын
imamusicmogul I’ve heard NI now says you can import your own Kontakt patches too, though they won’t “officially” support it. Kontakt Will stream from disk as well to help with ram. Pretty exciting stuff

have you found a way to "route" maschine in Logic work flow? vs. having to drag the audio into Logic? There has to be away where you can use the mdi and it enter into Logic, the same way using a midi keyboard. I know you can turn maschine into midi mode, but I'm taking about using full maschine functions within Logic.
@imamusicmogul4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the Maschine controls like chords and scales are coded into the software when in controller mode. It would be awesome to use some of its features like that and more. But it’s really tied to the software more so than the hardware being able to send MIDI data like that. What exactly were you looking to do?

@BoosGunn4 жыл бұрын
Do you run your Maschine through another audio interface, or do you just use the internal one? Trying to figure out if the way I do it is the best way or not, since I only plug the usb connector into my laptop and go from there. Edit: also glad to see I’m not the only one who bounces their Maschine stems and finishes it in logic lol
@imamusicmogul4 жыл бұрын
Because I needed to record the sound coming out from the Maschine Plus - I took the outputs and plugged it into the inputs of another interface to record the output for the video. If your in controller mode then you most likely don’t need to do that as computer can be the output. I’m trying to get the hang of clips and arrangements on the plus. But i wanted to add some effects to the sound that I couldn’t do in the plus. It least for now.

Could you explain what I would need to do get a piano sound that sounds similar to piano in bea millers song “I can’t breathe”? There is something going on to make it sound more full. I’ve heard covers of it on KZbin and even her live performance of the song, the piano doesn’t sound the same. Any amount of help would be greatly appreciated!
