Great save. My teenage son did CPR on our yellow lab. Another dog stood on her and kept her underwater at our lake house. She was literally dead in 5 feet of water. He put her on shore and bought her back. GREAT job Lester.

Why is it wrong to value your own pets life over a stranger's? You have a connection to your pet that you dont have to a stranger. Parents should value their children's life over a strangers, right? Why would an animal you care for be any different? Especially if you raise that animal from birth. If an animal was hurting someone I loved I wouldn't care what happened to that animal but also vice versa if a person was hurting an animal I cared about I wouldn't care what happened to that person... it goes both ways so how it that wrong?

@@miguelzino598 Very interesting question. But first of all, I don't know if Maggie did it by accident. She might, but nature is pretty cruel, so she might have tried to kill it, because she couldn't physically cater to all the puppies, so she chose the weakest one in order to make sure she can feed the others. A male dog's motive to kill a puppy would most likely be fear of competition or jealousy. Both motives seem cruel to us overly romantic puppy lovers. If the father stood right next to the owner trying to revive the puppy and had the same look in his eyes, I would have reacted the same. Yet, I don't know if Maggie had a motive or not. So I was mostly referring to how Maggie looked and acted during CPR. I hope this answered your question. =)

Depending on how long the pup was without air, it could be brain damaged. Watch out for uncalled for aggression, paranoia, anxiety, etc. as the dog ages. Probably not a good idea to sell/give away this dog to anyone, unless they are aware that there is a high probability that the dog is brain damage and could develop serious behavioral issues in the future. I hope that isn't the intention.

I just wanted to tell you this important message. Everyone says that they love animals, but they do not realize that they pay other people to kill them every day just for food, clothing or entertainment. Eating animal products pollutes more than the whole transportation system combined, it is one of the reasons why the world suffers hunger, causes a number of cancers and deseases and many other things that affect our planet. And all for simply eating things that are unnecessary, that affect our body and our planet. We have to match our beliefs with our actions. Maggie looks stressed and tired. I use to breed springer spaniels and boy do they have large litters. My husband and I used to rotate the puppies with a baby bottle for pups. Such a good mommy you are.
