I remember being 16, 17 listening to indie bands similar to this. Now I'm 21 and I don't feel like I'm listening to it myself, but rather a past younger self. I can't relate no more to these sounds, and it's so saddening realizing how just 5 years is enough to stop feeling carefree and young. A few years back I was travelling with my family to Amsterdam to visit for the first time. We took a boat because it was cheaper than flying; the ride was 7 hours to Holland. Like most long travels, the departure was painfully early, and I recall feeling incredibly drowsy, as much as any non-morning-person would be.
