I’ve always wondered why does the Bhumibol Adulyadej-class carry only 2 Harpoon missiles and I’ve read that they can be equipped with the SM-2

No, our Shadhinota class didn't and Kyan Sittha can accommodate a Harbin Z-9 or Schiebel Camcopter S-100 in it's hanger and operate from it's helicopter landing deck.

Whats so good abt war? Besides there has not been a major conflict since ww2. Too date only the Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia has issues with regards to internal hostilities mainly terrorism and rebel groups. So what if they have experience? The fact that there is still conflict in their very own homesoil is just sad. Especially the Philippines. They have experience they can brag all that but they have Failed to ensure the safety and peace of their country is maintained. For Decades the terrorist and rebel groups still exists till this very day is due to incompetence. You may be experienced but you do not have what it takes to quell the threat that alone is sad and if it is your very own country then thats just failure. If u cant secure ur own country? Then whats impressive. Indoesia and Thailand has done a better job i will give them that. The philippines isnt even trying. When Marawi happened, it was suoppose to be a wake up call but no. After that is just back to normal life as if nth ever happend. Back to business. Close one eye and made no attempt to combat the threat after marawi except small pockets of operations. How many more will die before action is taken? Worst part is the handling of SCD dispute. They have experienced but lack political will to exert you right of the EEZ from China rather let them enjoy those fishes for themselves.

@@Benjamin-wy4djMarawi operation is done in 5 months.....if the same Marawi siege is happening in Singapore....OMG it takes a years for sure or maybe you can ask help from your neighboring countries to fix the problem. Even the terrorist in Marawi came from different countries like Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia....Rebellion in other part of Mindanao is different situation because of the land dispute and religion......Terrorism and Rebellion is different.

They are corvettes and frigates not destroyers. There is only so much weapons you can pile on a such small hauls. They were built for littoral warfare and policing action not full scale blue water navy warfare.

@@ph11p3540 no...its not that small..i know some much smaller ship with more anti aircraft missile + anti ship....this ship at least can have 16....and why they use vertical launch when there is only eight of them....vertical launch is only good for 16+....when you only have eight of them its doesnt matter if u use vertical launch or mk-13 or mk-26 or even box launcher all the same... such a waste of money.... the ships showed in the videos are all new, pretty, fancy...but if you know a little about warships you know they're just eye candy in real battle they have little effect

Bangladesh navy will build another 4 Shadhinota class corvettes here in Bangladesh dockyard. Hopefully they will get upgrades. 4500tons+ frigates are also being here.

@@12823matthewkao Have you ever heard about Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) which can pack 4 of that in a single cell of VLS. The range is up to 50 km. Isn't that mean they already have the whole pack of 32 missiles ready to fire at medium range? All I mean is IF you really know (by not just eye-candy look but study about what in it) about this kind of ship, you wouldn't say that it weak by what it seem to be. A number of VLS doesn't always matter! Have you ever heard about La Fayette class frigate, it might seem weak without VLS but stealth tech + decoy + electronic warfare + CIWS and that's what they need. More VLS, more cost. With GDP of Thailand, they build what suit with their money and the highest readiness in combat. No country NEED lot of VLS with bloody number of missiles if they don't have enough money to sail it and train their men.
