most important thing Stone said? the goal is to grow it organicly if we can and we think we can. that statement excites me because it aliigns with what I have been saying all off season. WE MAY ALREADY HAVE WHAT WE NEED WE MUST ALLOW IT TO GROW. the day for change will come, but until we know what we have we must stand pat. Alperen was the 1st to blossom. we may have seen Jalen begining to blossom. Amen and Cam took steps. Tari before the injury looked real good and even Jabari took a step. what we saw last year was the egg crack. this year the full animal will emerge from that shell

100%! So many rebuilds get marginalized because there’s an urge to signal progress with some kind of splash, they lower their ceiling and tighten their window. And I mean coaches always want MORE NOW as opposed to later because every game now is what goes on the resume. I think the GM/President had to be the one who holds the longer view. I pray we keep our powder dry.

Fr I would have to see them jump the gun with a big trade.. trading one or 2 of the young guys that we haven’t gotten to see enough of.. don’t want to be the Clippers 2.0
@jamesflanagan76933 ай бұрын
Yeah, now you know the Clippers and Kawhi in hindsight wish they had kept SGA and those picks instead of mortgaging their future for Paul George who is now a Sixer! And I like PG! He's definitely a more likeable guy and player than Kawhi or Harden these days! But in the long run SGA and those picks were more valuable together than PG13 by himself!

I dont think they spent much time with Jabari - they thought he was going to Orlando - Stone was eating lunch with Paulo

Agreed. Jabari is trash so far
@francoa.96463 ай бұрын
@@Tknight2324 He is far from trash, he has plenty of upswing potential, great on the boards nice mid range, and a respectable 3 at this stage of his development.

Great interview, i dont understand why Stone gets so much backlash. We came along way from where we were 3 years ago and this guy has consistently improved the roster year after year. Obviously he vetts all of the players that actually come on to the team from a talent and person perspective. ..the guy is thoroughly and diligently doing his job to make the best team imaginable....and the team will continuously get better because of it.

As a Freshman, Reed is way ahead of Nash and Stockton. How meaningful is it only time will tell, but he’s gotta a chance to b a franchise-altering player. R Stone has done a very good job assembling an exciting group of high-level talented players. Houston is one year away from becoming OKC, if the same culture can b developed & sustained, once the big $$$ enter the picture. Jalen Green is the obvious big ?? He needs to show that he can score efficiently & under pressure, as well as defend @ playoffs level. Lots of Ifs, naturally, due to the youth of their core, but the Rockets r sitting on a large pile of dynamite talent. Thank u James Harden!
