lol you should check out Rizeasu. He's a been a Mii Brawler for a while, top player in Japan. He recently made top 8 at Kagaribi 6 beating Jogibu, Tsu, Kome and KEN in an awesome run with Mii Brawler and Sephiroth

I'm guessing on Kalos the walls make recovery against GnW harder, the platform layout doesn't lend itself to Brawler's conversions, and it's a big stage so early kills are less likely.

It happens if the player is willing to guess on the timing and try to punish it. If they’re wrong they die, if they don’t approach they definitely won’t be able to punish it cause it’s lagless, and if they do approach and get the timing right enough to not get hit they still might not get a punish because again, it’s lagless

I know why you like this side B but you rarely used it in those matches and it felt like the command grab would have gave you so much damage when Maister was sitting in shield during your short hops or when you wanted to whiff punish his up smashes Would have also made him afraid to shield to help the rest of your kit I feel. Do you plan to stick to a kit to excel at it or to change depending of the MU on the futur ? Cool stuff anyway, made me wanna play this character again

I’d like to mention that GnW upsmash has 13 frames of lag on whiff, which you can’t really react to. If you could, suplex’s startup is also 13 frames, so you’d have to be frame perfect. Also, I wouldn’t say Maister was sitting in shield too much in this matchup, since Esam was fishing for grabs the whole time anyway. Suplex isn’t much of an easier grab to hit against Maister who’s already avoiding grabs like his life (literally) depends on it Not meant to be flame, I’m trying to understand this matchup too

Mii Brawler has been rock solid since the game came out to be honest. Idk if he beats characters like Peach, GnW, and Ness but Pika definitely struggles more and Brawler is more than capable of handling them on his own.

I was always a “Mii Brawler is borderline top tier” believer ever since like mid Ultimate but for a long while now I’ve thought he deserved a spot in top.

I don't think even ESAM thinks Mii Brawler is top tier. A big part of "top tier" is how many bad matchups a character has. Characters like Pikachu, Pyra/Mythra, and Joker have very few bad matchups at a high level of play. Mii Brawler is heavily matchup dependent and requires a TON of matchup knowledge for combo percents. I say this as someone who's played Mii Brawler since ultimate came out. It's a great character, especially with the best move setup, but there's a reason it requires someone like ESAM to bring it out against top players.

Not ESAM, but usually moveset is a factor. If it's Uppercut, **never** go to Yoshi's. If it's HeliKick, Town is not the move. and if it's SAK, then.. well anything works.
