I was kind of over having SO many returning contestants when the cast was announced, but I'm absolutely loving this season so far. The Golden Beaver is the best "twist" gimmick of any franchise IMHO because it adds just enough drama without there being such drastic fuckery that could happen. Can't wait for the rest of the season!

I’m gonna be so honest I came into this season with low expectations but both episodes have been great. Great performances in challenges, pretty good runways, and most importantly what I’ve been craving that AS9 didn’t deliver was actual good tv/drama. I knew Alexis, Kennedy, and the queen of making good tv Fiercealicous entertained me. When Fierce called out that Alexis and Eureka are on their 4th time where La Kahena should be saved so she can have more exposure/getting rid of a strong competitor I didn’t disagree even tho saving Alexis is the fair choice since she was the best of the 3 in her group. Then Cheryl being in the top 3 twice already her best run yet and I’m so proud of her and lemon breaking the Canadian curse with a killer performance.

I will say, for a nature runway category, there is a disconnect when the entire outfit is just made of plastic in the faximily of natural phenomenon. Everything being in poly-blends and pleathers and lamé covered in glued on plastic beads and sequins, just seems like such a weird juxtaposition. Idk, maybe its time to break out the linen, cotton, and burlap. I will say I did like Eureka's taking clear inspo from Melanie Martinez, which I also think is the correct direction to go for a nature runway. Not plastic tho....
