Mama Pao's comment on Verushka was because she claimed she bought it herself but turns out it was a pull-out piece from a designer and was originally worn by our Miss International Nicole Borromeo. The reason why Mama Pao clocked Verushka's runway look was because she's (Verushka) taking too much credit as if she's the one who created the costume, but it's just a pull out or possibly rented from the same designer who made it for Nicole Borromeo (Miss Philippines International). There are multiple ingredients in cosmetics that can cause a reaction, especially watery eyes. The same ingredient could have been used for years without issue but the body was slowly building up an intolerance and then one day passed a point where it started to show symptoms. One of the common ones to cause reactions is phenoxyethanol. There is another with a long name that is frequently associated with eye-watering and is in many shadows but I can't remember the name! Also, pressed pigments (as opposed to eyeshadows) aren't necessarily designed to be used in the eye area and can be more of an issue due to ingredient concentrations. It may be necessary to take a break from makeup altogether and also seek professional advice and testing (sadly, I know in the USA that's not necessarily an option due to cost). Try looking for products especially designed to be low allergy. 🖤

I think 1 reason as well that pao called out verushka's outfit was because the national pageant AND DRPh are both "big" well-known events, and both events included being "judged" for your outfit. It's like joining Miss USA and Miss America and wearing the same evening gown. It takes away the "wow" factor once you've seen it twice. Also, since DRPh occurred later than the pageant, it may feel like it's a "lesser effort" from someone "repeating" an outfit, from a judges' pov, i guess. Tho pulled outs and recycling clothes ain't bad basically. Guess, just in this context, it can be expected that someone may say something.

re: Veruschka's looks, drag performers esp. in a competition are expected to execute looks that are their own. they are expected to showcase their art. here, Veruschka wore a recycled look that, while looks good on her, doesn't showcase who she is. reminds me of the Mugler costume Adrianna wore during the dungeons and dragons runway (which Gioffre from Italia season 2 also wore). plus, Paolo is a designer and knows a lot when it comes to pageants so seeing the same outfit is understandably disappointing to her. like, you join a competition with a look that's not actually yours? come on!
