repurpose the industrial sector for mixed use and for the people and move the industrial sector to the outskirts or across the river. Ferry system is the move. Anything to get cars off the roads.

Cities:Skylines does not have true mixed zones. The only way to do mixed use in C:S is to place the buildings individually.

@@erkinalp i know, but you can individually zone HD Residential, Commercial and Office space together in a compact area. That’s what I meant by mixed use. Wondering if the developers at Cities: Skylines will make a DLC outta that zoning.

The issue is that CS is, like most US cities, car based. So it doesnt work well when walkability is the main factor when you design your city. Also, it's a pity that you seem to have reverted to designing your new parts of your city with car transit first, and public and alternative modes of transit second.

Automatic Pedestrian Bridge Builder in the mod workshop would help with your crossing issues. Also if you really want a functioning city you gotta start using Road Hierarchy and Public Transport Hierarchy. Real talk if you don't do the basics of Road Hierarchy then your city will always break down. Neways love the series!

hey could you add underground Pedestrisan crossing instead? 1. they look nicer as you don't have to look at concrete bridges in the sky 2. they take less space 3. They are much easier to walk as a pedestrian! With bridges you have to climb UP and then you get a free boost down, however with a tunnel you get a freeboost down, wich gives you a 50% free bost up when the tunnel comes to its end making it easier to bikee! Trust me I choose a tunnel further away rather then a bridge, because its easier to bike!

9:52 I would've put the monorail over top of the train tracks because... 1. it makes more sense to put the larger and more expensive bridge lower to the ground, and... 2. you could raise the monorail intersection to match the height of the track you sloped down so it's not so close to that building.

The traffic proble.s are real. Might be time to look at some real city planning and how different intersections help. Roundabouts rven Dutch roundabouts for cars aswell as non-square city blocks helps. Bridges, tunnels, separate lines for bikes pedestrians and trams/busses.

That metro station you are using at 3:08 looks like the wrong (old) length, the game changed to platforms to be longer over 2 years ago, and those old stations will often break because they are not long enough for the trains.

Y'know what would be super cool? If the 'monorail ravine' didn't have everything go under the highway, but instead wove through it. So the road at ground level stays flat at, y'know, ground level and the highway stays where it is, but the monorail breaks off of the road and just goes up, over the highway, and back down on the other side. The Anarchy mod will let you overlap them and the pillars, provided you move them off of the highway's lanes, will line up in the middle of the road where they should. It'll look amazing!

My hypothesis on your congestion issue between public transit and road vehicles: your intersections are too close. Below are things I’ve learned from others but also trial and error: Roundabouts don’t function well if 1) they are close to signalized intersections, which inhibits continuous traffic flow. 2) They are too congested, which means you should attempt to remove the 4 way intersection. Following the road hierarchy is also essential. Connect local roads > collectors > arterials > highways. Never skip steps in connecting different road types. A KZbinr named Lee Hawkins brings up an excellent point: you shouldn’t focus on managing traffic as much of instead following the zoning hierarchy, which is the source of traffic. Fixing the problem at the source is far more efficient than managing a continuous problem.

This city really needs a nice, big military base, to keep an iron grip on those pesky wage sla- I mean to protect all those valued, hard-working citizens from no-good criminals, yes. I'd advise all three of Army, Navy, and Air Force just to cover all your bases, of course. 😁Also, making more use of your vertical space and layering your transit options, rather then just putting them together on the same roads, should help in lowering the amount of traffic jams in the city. More pedestrian bridges would help too. =^x^=
