@@Emile50 I don't think anyone should have to write assembly, it's not healthy for your brain lol I feel like he either wanted dedicated servers with he ability to write customer code (sorta exists, there are mods to move servers to the cloud) or maybe in-game computers we can manually code to control factories, which also exists in a (very good) mod. The reflections in the windows have an issue it seems, when the lights are too far behind the player and they de-render (via Frustum Culling) to save memory, the reflection vanishes as well. It kinda reminds me of when my Minecraft lagged badly (even with optifine) years ago on my potato-pc and I looked down at just the right angle to see that the chunks behind me were unrendered so it was just infinite darkness. Frustum Culling. You know, I looked up what the technique was called just for this XD Edit: Well its not just the lights, its everything.
@ratchet1freak3 жыл бұрын
it looks like screen space reflection, a hack that uses only what's on the screen to calculate reflections. As a result it cannot show what is not rendered on screen. environment maps or RTX could fix those. But they have costs.

That's pretty normal. You see minor effects like that in tons of games. Often you can notice lighting/shadows changing when a light moves off the screen.

They nee to add radouts that are customizable. That way you could make signs... or displays that show the power output... and make custom ones that can be attached to any belt or pipe... or vehicle for a throughput per hour or some other way of measuring things. Then you could have a bank of displays in the control room showing everything at a glance. You are kind of doing that by running the pipes and belts through there. Think of just little boxes that show the throughput as a percentage in a color code... green for 100%, to yellow for 50%, to red for 0%. You could then have a bank of boxes with numbers and a sign over them like water pipes to reactors... and see how ALL of them are flowing. Think of seeing EVERY pipe, belt, train, drone, storage... at a glance on one wall.
