The first album was commercially successfull, one of the reason is because they shared lines fairly. And then the 2nd album out, it was actually pretty good, but all we heard is marions vocals.

It would be really nice to see both Marit or Marion on the stage as M2M for one last time... They've done well as solo artists which is amazing and I do have some of both of their songs which I really do enjoy listening from time to time. It's not gonna be easy but it would be amazing to see it one last time and the chemistry Marit and Marion had on their songs and stage was really really amazing.

So sad that they never did a concert here in the Philippines. They were really big and popular here. I had their albums. And we used to dance “Everything You Do” in school and after we danced it the whole students would play that song over and over again. I miss those days and I miss them so much. If they would still make a reunion and do a concert here I would totally come.

@@fareeechan dear..it was about their stories in the past..the time they collaborated as one..people change..Marit was saying let's focus on what she is going to do next..she doesnt want to go back in the past..time is moving foward..age is catching up..same goes to these girls n us..some friendships did work out..some dont..so move foward n keep pursuing the dreams..both are equally talented..but Marit sounded more genuine when she sings..(i prefer her than Marion)...most of us do like her more i believe so..good thing about Marit is..she doesnt talk bad about her friends..

On the M2M split, The point here I think, Marion left Marit in the dark with the counter offer to go solo and leave M2M. I assume Marit was not aware that Marion will press on ...without her. Heck I would be happy for my best friend if her career is flying great compared to mine. I wouldnt hold back or hold down her success. But I think Marion handled the whole thing poorly and selfishly..hence making Marit feel betrayed / abandoned. To be dropped like a sack of potatoes just like that after 15 years of friendship, growing up together, travelling and experiencing the world together....would make anyone feel what Marit experience. But I am glad Marit is ok. I think commercially she is a better success than Marion (karma's a bitch...). Marion may have the vocal chops, but Marit to me is the more talented, gifted artist.

I'm going to quote someone who wrote answered this, Mike, because I'm just simply too tired to write after all this time. It honestly makes me sad, really. =/ "John Galt The true story was that The Big Room was a flop and the studio producing their records decided to drop them. Marion and Marit flew home alone, they were both quite saddened by the news. what's worse was that their families were away. Since they were on tour, their families left to travel. When the production company dropped them, their tour was cancelled halfway and they had nowhere else to go but home. Apparently, Marion said that Marit and her didn't speak for a while but met up a few weeks after returning home. They talked about what they wanted to do and where they were headed. Marion said that Marit and her always agreed that they would continue making music together as long as they were having fun. However, it was starting to become more stressful and the girls wanted different things. Marit wanted to continue with pop while Marion wanted to rock. They parted amicably and there was never any bad blood between them. When Marion was asked if she had any regrets, she only mentioned that a few of the skirts she wore were too short haha. Some time later "The Day You Went Away: M2M's Greatest Hits" was released. Great album. It contains a few acoustic versions of their songs that are absolutely beautiful. I always felt like their voices had a certain magic to them and you'd hear it best in the acoustic songs." I hope this helps.

You're very much welcome; I'm glad to help. :) And as for your other question, it's a compilation album, so it's just a mash up of their most popular songs from Shades of Purple and The Big Room. So it's pretty much prerecorded. The only exception is the rerecord vocals in Everything You Do, but I think that was also prerecorded before they disbanded. But besides that, there were acoustic versions, remixes, and 3 new songs added. However, I imagine those new songs were prerecorded songs that didn't made the cut for The Big Room track-list. There were also the Chinese version of Pretty Boy and Spanish version of Everything You Do too.

Hi Elmo 90, sorry that I replied so late. KZbin didn't notified me. @_@ Yes, they have confirmed to still be friends. In the same interview of this video (which bothers me about this cut out video because it means less people are watching it in its entirety), the interviewer asks Marit if the friendship is still on, and Marit has said yes. :) On a side note that isn't towards you, Elmo 90, I just wanted to mentioned that fans who like Marit more than Marion are more likely (key word, more likely) to make comments that Marion betrayed Marit for money or fame, etc, but the information isn't correct. It's something that to this day they are so firmed on. There was even a rumor back in the day that Marion was offered money to leave M2M, but Marion has talked about this in a Norwegian interview in the Tørnquist Show 52 and said that this wasn't the case. I'm not proficient in Norwegian myself, but I asked a Danish friend for help and got his dad to help with the translation. The translation isn't perfect, but maybe one day I will share the whole information. So I guess, the overall point I want to make is that too many people are not caring about getting the correct information out, so maybe one day when I have a bit more patience, I will try my best to make a place on the internet where I can organize the most reliable information as I can. :)

Because their second album called the big room wasn't doing well. It was unsuccess and disappointed sales. M2M would've keep on going. But Atlantic Records doesn't want to risky it and cut their contacts. Marion n Marit has to go separate ways. Not only it's sad that the band break up. But their friendship too. Cuz I follow them on Instragm they don't follow each others. Just last year Marit announced on radio station that she wants to renuite with Marion to bring back M2M. Who knows if is just a hoax or she really means it.
