I disagree somewhat.* I would've loved some sort of reload "hidden" stance with s on startup that you needed to hold for let's say 6 seconds to gain access to strong damaging (gun) bashes, and when you don't have the gun loaded you have unique melee focused combos even using the gun. Imo would be more fun and unique than another undodgeable/bash mixup, as well as making the hero's gameplay more calculated and methodical (harder) but very rewarding and satisfying when done right. Edit: It doesn't need to be realistic but fun per se.

Fun fact: apparently she speaks Cantonese not mandarin like the other Wu Lin, so while still Chinese more or less, she still sets herself apart from the rest of the Wu Lin. Kinda like cent or Highlander, technically part of their faction but not really, with cent being, well clearly not a knight, and Highlander have some Christian imagery in his armor and speaking Gaelic not ancient icelandic.

I think a gothic era Landsnecht with a giant zweihander would fit well into the outlander faction. Start off with the frilly and colorful clothes and hat, then later down the line you start getting full plate armor in different styles like Milanese, fluted, and Maximillian. Same for helmets like sallets, bascinets and armets.

That or maybe a buff to blocks and parries? I'm not sure what would make fun gameplay mechanics that play off of what a Landsknecht would've done in a battle formation back in their day, without just resorting to "big sword, big swing, ooga booga".

Really excited for more Outlanders though I wonder how often they're gonna make them. Honestly wish they just added the idea of a pirate hero into the Wu-lin with heavy inspiration to Ching Shih, and before you say I'm complaining about the new hero, (in terms of her not using a multi-shot flintlock) no, I'm not, if anything I think the idea of a faction that can draw in a lot more unique heroes is amazing, but I think they should've just (to a minimum) added a new viking and new Wu-lin, and to a maximum just finishing every faction in terms of equal hero numbers. They only have an undodgeable light so it’s not as bad as everyone keeps saying it is. If it lands or is blocked, it leaves the user of it at a frame disadvantage and with Pirate, the only thing she can chain into is Walk the Plank which is probably able to be interrupted with a light since it would’ve been chained off a light.

I'm always a little weirded out by the tradeoff of "bottomless magazine gun that does low damage" and honestly I was hoping for her to have a gun that had 1 shot, would deal like half of the enemys health if they didn't dodge it, but would take an e t e r n i t y of inaction to reload so realistically she only had it once per fight. but it is nice that the gunshot breaks hyper-armor

They could add Polish 15th-16th century musketeer. Those guys have Berdych-musket hybrid, that allowed them to fire on very close ranges, while using the berdych to fight. This was standart Polish line infantry, untill the better muskets come in. It was basicaly fire only at point blank range (10 meters max)

I don’t really know how I feel about this update The pirate feels weirdly Caribbean theme Also I hate the idea of skins The gun seems way more modern then just a hand held arquabis And I don’t know how I feel about a 5th faction feels even more distanced from the knight vs Viking vs samurai theme and hurrying it even more

I'd love to see a new playstyle involving a spear and shield; like a tank fighter who has incredible block and poke damage but is absolute ass when caught alone in a gank or team-fight. The best way to balance this kind of hero would be to play smart and team up against him until he runs dry on stamina and can't keep his guard up. But this means that heroes like Nosubushi, conq, centurion, peacekeeper and Valkyrie would not be as effective against the mighty Sheild-bearer; but heroes like raider, shugoki, warden, gladiator and lawbringer would be great due to their mix-ups and unblockabales.
