It was an SEC dogfight - that happens every week. I am a 2nd generation Gamecock and y'all just ran into a perfect storm at Willy B. We are a really good team, and this was just the first time we put it all together. Y'all have a fantastic coach in Elko who will do the team proud for years to come. Carolina is on the way up in the SEC just like y'all are. It would make me really happy to see y'all take Texas to the woodshed. I hope the RB is ok and can come back this year. Huge win for the Gamecocks - we needed this one - but we beat a really good A&M team tonight. As a lifelong Gamecock, we have suffered a LOT, so I will take the wins when we get 'em....

DAVID FRANZ in the live chat whining that every single Carolina point was because they were "Holding" and calling our O-Line "dogshit" obviously was wearing his Aggie blinders because he missed the fact that A&M O-Line had two fistfuls of Stewart's and Kennard's jerseys on nearly every A&M pass play and the Holding was never called either. And Carolina's line is so good they STILL got constant pressure. SC was just the more physical and aggressive team and A&M and Marcel Reed looked rattled at times by the atmosphere. Totally understandable. Take your lumps (it's the SEC after all) as we certainly have with two heartbreaking losses vs LSU (and their Refs signed to lucrative NiL deals) and Bama, and move on to beating Auburn and Texas.

I saw that too. I watched the highlights to see, and there was no holding on the point drives. I did see a few holds during the game but it wasn’t near the play so refs will let some of those go but I saw plenty of times where Dylan Stewart blew past and was getting put in headlocks especially on the play they went up 20 to 17 when he barely missed a tipping the ball no holding their it could of been a sack

@@CollegeFootballManiac Any opposing fans who think USC ever gets games called in their favor really haven't been paying attention this year. There's holding that goes uncalled on both sides, but truly if they were only calling flagrant holds, there would be 5-10 called against our opponents every game. They simply cannot stop Stewart and Kennard and our Tackles without holding. There was one play where Dylan got pancaked on the edge but it was only after he was clotheslined by the O-Lineman.

We got manhandled the entire game they were the more physical team by far. No defensive adjustments, we over pursued, our defense was very undisciplined and play calling was terrible.

Both teams wanted to play the same game. They both wanted to be physical at the line of scrimmage. South Carolina did it with a 250 pound quarterback and a 230 pound running back. we tried to attack them with 180 pound quarterback and a 215 pound running back. This may be as plain and simple as physics.

Good game to A&M. As an SC guy I was actually impressed with reed at times. Did well at getting out of the pocket and escaping. 2nd half I was extremely confused by the play calling by A&M. Once yall went down by 7 it seemed like yall went away from what was working trying to get it back it quick.

A&M has a discipline problem. Ranking 125 out of 134 with 8.3 penalties per game. 3 personal fouls per game as well. Missed tackles are also a problem, I understand playing aggressive but you can’t miss tackles in man defense.

Defense tackled poorly for almost the entire game. Over running the ball, reaching and arm tackling. Seller’s performance almost single handedly beat us like a step-child. Re: O- From the get-go they stacked the box (what a surprise!) and our answer was on key plays was to run Reed as though they wouldn’t be ready. What were we thinking?

SC fan here. I think our offense is one of the few offenses and maybe only offense that could do what we did to A&M. Rocket Sanders and Lanorris Sellers are huge dudes. Your defense hit Lanorris in the backfield a lot. Against any other QB y’all would have had 4-5 sacks (and that probably wins yall the game). Y’all have an amazing defense. I think A&M underestimated us by looking at stay sheet instead of film for the offense. The OLine is not bad as people say, LaNorris’s mistakes trying to scramble is what caused the high amount of sacks. Rocket did look completely different, he shocked us SC fans with this performance but we’ve seen him do it at Arkansas so we never doubted him. LaNorris and Rocket won the offense. Debo and the DLine won on defense.

Worst performance all around by this team Poor tackling, I can’t remember the last time A&M missed so many tackles on a QB…could’ve made a difference in the game Some of the coaching calls were a head scratcher as well Oline getting blown up consistently(not having Bisontis really hurts) We like Daniels a lot, but not having moss is a big blow He’s your guy that can wear out the defense & probably our best offensive weapon The offense was actually doing okay, but a sack or penalty would just kill our drive every time I think the biggest issue on this team rn is sadly our WR core, we just don’t have any elite play makers at the position Solid guys but not big time game changers After the season we really need to go deep in the portal & try to flip some big time recruits at the position Noah Thomas was playing better but he’s shaky at times. He just gets manhandled by physical corners Moose pretty much never plays for some reason & I was super high on Walker this year! How does a guy who plays so well at the end of last year with a horrid offense be such a non factor this season? 😅 He’s physically but can’t seem to get open consistently Really disappointing Even when we went up 20-17 It just never felt like we were going to win SC wanted it more and played lights out!
