yes you can flash implants. as long as the bio passes. we do it all the time where i work.

doesnt mean its safe just because you all do it. After reaching 270 degrees the implant would need an hour to cool anyway.

Nobody at my hospital has heard of a 'waterstrider'.

Same. I've worked at 3 hospitals in California and never heard of a watersrider. What is their role? To me it looked like some form of assistant.

Having a waterstrider must feel like a slice of heaven in SPD!

Why is the biological out of its test pack? That is no challenge for the steam.
@PublicEnemy_Number19 ай бұрын
The process challenge device (PCD) should emulate the hardest-to-sterilize set/item in the autoclave. So, if you, for example, have various general sets and a handful of two-level loaner sets, a typical BI test pack should do a good job emulating the most difficult set to sterilize that's in the autoclave; in this case, it would be the loaner sets. However, in the video in question, only one implant was sterilized. As a result, a BI test pack is not necessarily needed, since sterilizing a single item in an enclosed container does not pose the same challenge as sterilizing a full autoclave with multiple, heavy sets; a singe biological indicator and class 5 integrator should do just fine.

Can you really flash sterilize an implant device?
@arvintology8 жыл бұрын
+Ann Velasco No. You have to send them to your CS. They need to be process. It will take about 2-3 hours. It will delay the patient's surgery. Be careful in handling trays with implants. Both unopened and opened. =)

Yes, but it's not really 'immediate use' as the bio must pass before surgery.
