Repeat rate is not a glitch. The number at the right is the milliseconds so the higher it is the slower the repeat rate.

That’s what I was thinking. I think steam needs a new controller settings layout designer or whatever lol It may seem simple but when you get into settings like this, it can be easy to miss huge calculations like that. He simply felt that it felt better and went with it, which is true gaming💪🏻 overall this settings vid was crazy, and I’ve been tap strafing on controller for years now. Played Apex’s release day on Xbox and I can’t imagine going back and not having a strafe button like this on controller now lmao

Having to lower the turbo value to make it go faster is not a bug. The slider value indicates the turbo speed in ms. So the lower the value, the quicker it repeats.

Not understanding how I will be able to have the paddles be something totally different than another dpad or abxy button. Even if I "delete command" to make Y act as keyboard key 6, for example. How will paddle Y and button Y be able to be, paddle Y, and button 6(Y)? If that makes sense to anyone at all. Using a ps5 scuf.

I'm about to try this myself so we'll see how it goes, but I would think you need to treat the paddle programming and the steam controller configs as separate processes. you can map your paddles to anything by using the profile button on you scuff and reprogramming it (joystick click L3 R3 included). This should be done independently and ideally after your configs are set. For your other question, I think you just have to change the keybinds in game settings if you want to change what is what. I think he's using default keybind settings and mapping his controller to that through steam.

Switch w,a,s,d from regular press to long press. The repeat rate and responsiveness is a lot better when you have all the binds on long press.

Tap-strafing should be used to go the direction you want to go and it’s KINDA momentum based meaning if you go right you can’t instantly do a left tap-strafe without momentum. Sadly I’m on vacation rn but when I come a may do a controller cam!

Yo I have a mantle-jump/super-jump steam config if you want it. And a auto shield swap steam config that allows you to hit 1 button and automatically enter the death box get the swap and exit with the ease of pressing 1 button.
