Immersed Keyboard and Passthrough Update | Meta Quest 2 | Working from Home

In this video, I talk about Immersed newly released keyboard and passthrough update for the Meta Quest 2.
Working in VR has just got better! This update improves Immersed keyboard overlay with keyboard tracking for the Logitech K830 and Apple Magic Keyboard. If you are like me and don't use those 2 keyboards they offer a keyboard passthrough so you can see your keyboard similar to what you can do in Horizon Workrooms (beta).
A big impact to working in VR is their passthrough update, giving you the ability to see your environment. They took it a step further by introducing "Passthrough Portals" giving you a passthrough of certain areas in your work area to see your mouse, drink or doorway which makes working in VR a mixed reality for improved productivity.
This update by Immersed is impressive and makes it easier to work in VR much more working from home.

I work now for over 3 month in vr as a software engineer. I am in every day for 8 to 10 hours and it works great for me. No way I go back to normal monitors.

It’s amazing that Meta is improving the quality of what you see in almost every update. I don’t work as long in VR, but with newer, lighter hardware and battery capacity that may change this year lol :)

Lately devices/software improves GREATLY after an update and the reviewers never come back to let their viewers know that it's changed, etc. I just make a point to comment and let others that may see the video in the future know that things have changed and the product may have become better/worse. Rarely do the creators of the video reply that they're going to update it as a result tho. Thanks for considering the revision to your video!

I really wanted to use this but I found, it gets though the battery really quickly, it only seemed to work properly with a really strong wifi signal, the app got confused between which input method you were using (keyboard, fingers, or controllers). If they can iron those issues out there is a lot of potential there.

Hi Riccardo! Thanks for taking the time to leave a question in the comments I really appreciate it. Currently, pass through is available only with certain applications. In this application “Immersed” passthrough options are available in the settings and on the bottom you should see a option “Pass through”. So, depending on the game it needs to be coded in to their software. I think Meta is working on allowing pass through in all applications like when you are near or passed your guardian. Let me know if that helps or if you have other questions.

@@Elev8Project I try immersive app. It is fantastic! So I ask if this app can mantein the pass through area defined into pc game in quest 2 with air link or cable link. This is the real question. Some simulator like dcs

Hey rebeldragon1 ! Thanks for taking the time to leave a question! So, you can use the K380 or any keyboard connected to your main computer, if close enough to your VR headset. That being said for tracked keyboards for Meta Quest 2, the Logitech K830, K375s, MX Keys, MX Keys mini and Apple Magic Keyboard, currently are the only keyboards supported for that tracking feature.
