Can I use this on my 10 feet long inflatable pool?
@cathrynmartin439510 ай бұрын
I have an immersion heater that I use in a pinch when camping. I have a portable shower unit and an old 5 gallon bucket (got it free from the grocery store's bakery area - I think mine contained frosting). I can fill the bucket up with water, put the immersion heater in and in a little while I can take a nice, hot shower! Immersion heaters are definitely something that requires being SAFE with it (water and electricity...just be very careful), but they work really well!

Safety first! But yes, they're pretty awesome when used correctly.

Does it not burn the lining of the tub? If not, how? I would think the metal is very hot.
@TubTalkReviews Жыл бұрын
It does not, and this is something we specifically tested. At least not with the tub we used. The heating mechanism is on the inside of the tube not the outside.

@@TubTalkReviews ok thanks! We just got a Lazy Spa Santorini with Hydrojets and 180 bubbles. Very nice but it’s been on for 4 days and only gotten to 99*. Insulated the bottom. Thought that might help. Been in the 60’s during the day here in KY. Low 30’s at night. Hate to think I already have to heat hack it🤷🏼♂️

@b-rad3639 күн бұрын
@ No. I ended up purchasing the insulated cover that specifically goes on our sauna. Made the world of difference. It holds the heat even at subzero temps. Highly recommend.

How do I turn on the thermometer?
@slaughterhousejazz6 ай бұрын
A little more science would be helpful: 1. Starting temperature. 2. Time immersed. 3. Ending temperature. Advanced science: 1-3 without appliance for comparison. It is clear that you are using it as an additive to the portable's heater, but understanding the actual impact of the immersion heater is not at all clear. Saying it cut the time by 6-7 hours is only helpful understanding my previous suggestion of science 1-3.
@TubTalkReviews6 ай бұрын
We're sorry to hear this review was confusing for you. The starting temperature is without being heated up in general (this depends on your outside temperature at that point). All hot tubs, especially inflatable hot tubs, take some time to warm up for quite a few hours. This, however, depends on the tub but they all are around 12-24 hours. Whichever hot tub you have chosen, this will cut down 6-7 hours of that specific time. We have multiple reviews of many popular inflatable hot tubs on the market where we state how long the heat-up time takes and this accessory can be used to shave that time. The water heater stays in the tub until you want to turn off the heat.

Can we use in regular bath tub in bathroom which is made up of clay or XYZ whichever I don't know? (Regular bath tub not a hot tub)?
@TubTalkReviews5 ай бұрын
Theoretically, yes. We just advise to NOT use an extension cord and be very careful with how long the heater is on. It shouldn't be on for any longer than an hour and you should take the same precautions as you'd take with an outdoor inflatable hot tub.

Hello! Thanks for your video. One question i would ask: Can I use the same extension cord for the tub heater and for the water heater you showed on the vid?
@TubTalkReviews4 ай бұрын
Hi there, thanks for your question! We do not recommend using an extension cord AT ALL. We use extension cords for filming purposes but it's actually extremely dangerous to use an extension cord for the hot tub or any additional pieces. It's recommended that these tubs and pieces are plugged into 110v or 220v outlets.

You never mentioned exactly how long it took to heat up the spa.
@TubTalkReviews6 ай бұрын
This answer depends on the hot tub itself. Some can take anywhere from 12-36 hours. Regardless of which tub, the immersion water heater will cut that time by about 6 or so hours.

Looks sketchy dunking an electric device into a big body of water, as you say, but hey those Chinese wouldn’t skimp on safety, would they? 😅

Idk if this was meant to be as condescending as it sounded, but I do not think that a product that has a risk of electrocuting people would be pushed by a shopping app like Amazon.

Felt like a strong electric shock like when you touch metal and get shocked.. But this was 30% worse so definitely uncomfortable but won’t kill you. No idea what would happen if you dunked in probably bad lol
