This stuff is hard core and I love it.

Do you have a time frame for the release? Can we expect it before the end of the year?
@maxkonyiАй бұрын
@@Dj555-t6g Yes! Before the end of the year barring any unforseen major issues. It's currently being beta tested and the final features are being implemented.

This is my Everest! Gotta keep mastering the major before I can think of adding 5 more feeling in the mix! I shall return to you one day!

can we expect a video for recognizing chords? I'm decent at the major and minor scale degrees as individual notes, but once they're played as chords I feel like I barely know what Im doing.
@maxkonyiАй бұрын
I'll be working on that soon. These videos are related to Sonofield, which doesn't deal with chords. I have some good ideas for chord-related stuff though so stay tuned...

Love this! Been using it for almost a month now and making gains. Will there be an option to change the register of the scale degrees?
@maxkonyi11 күн бұрын
Nice! Do you mean limit the range/register that the degrees play within?
@119FU11 күн бұрын
@@maxkonyi Yes
@maxkonyi11 күн бұрын
@@119FU Currently, no. The point is to train with a wide range of octaves so that you can't rely on pitch. The sooner you can place your focus on what is common to a particular degree regardless of octave, the better.

Your ear training videos have been super helpful! Just curious, is there any reason you label #4 as #4 instead of b5?
@maxkonyi23 күн бұрын
Good question. It's because #4 is much more common in relation to the tonic. It's native to the lydian mode and the chords which come from it. A mode with an actual b5 does not have stability and will give way to some other, more stable tonic. Flat fives do occur often, just not usually in relation to the tonic. For instance, a chord like Bm7b5 (in the key of C), natively contains a b5, not a #4. Also, #4 and b5 actually sound/feel different from each other. They are not interchangeable!

And I thought flat 6 sounded ominous -- flat 2 is even more so! It's the darkest sounding note to me. I know sharp 4 is theoretically the farthest from 1, but it just sounds obnoxious to me rather than ominous (maybe because it reminds me of The Simpsons? lol)
