Just a little correction, Brunel was a chief mechanical engineer on the Great Western Railway and had built a 7ft gauge express line between Bristol and Exeter in Southwest England which operated 1844-1876. Said line and gauge were nicknamed by many as “Brunel’s Broad Gauge”. The line was later converted to standard from 1869-1892 as 7 feet was a bit too wide. The Russian gauge you’re thinking of is actually 5ft. Common misunderstanding, I see it a lot, just wanted to type a correction somewhere.

press the plus key on your numpad to enable the locomotive, then wait for the temperature to rise until the temp. gauge changes color.

In part 1, it's stated that diesel fuels come from other mods, like Immersive Engineering, Immersive Petroleum, Buildcraft, etc. Also, make sure the steam loco's throttle is centered or else you'll blow-off the pressure instead of letting it build-up.

hello there! i have installed everything correctly, although i have an issue. please take a little bit of your time to read this :) whenever i use any DIESEL locomotive (and sometimes steam) i have this issue where my camera glitches, and suddenly i dont see the interior of the train. it goes for a second, and comes back. it does this all the time and hence makes train travel with diesel locos more painful. Can you please help me? I would appreciate it a LOT! Thanks

This is a visual bug in version of IR later than 1.7.0. It will be patched in the next update. Personally, I use 1.6.1. It's a lot heavier to run, but it's still stable.

All controls are accessible in the Minecraft control menu. Before the throttle of a diesel loco can be moved, it needs to be turned on first. (Numpad ADD key). Whistle by default is ENTER on the numpad.

Have a problem when trying to add water to the locomotive in version 1.12.2. When attempting to move the water to the train GUI to fuel it, it refuses to move with my mouse. Basically item movements in the train GUI are locked.

Warmup is actually much faster than it is IRL, if you want it even faster, adjust the locoHeatTimeScale in the IR config. To connect coaches, just drive into them.

@@requiem5564 you can always right-click while riding the loco to open the GUI and insert fuel. If you're using pipes, you'll need a fluid loader and setup the pipes based on what that mod's wiki says you need to do.

By default it's sent to linux's "return" key instead of window's enter. You can just rebind it to enter and use numpad enter too.

not really, but fluid loaders can load them from a tank. Some mods add large containers that hold a lot of fluid at once. There's also a config option that disables the requirement for fuel in locos at all.

In what way? If you just want them to keep moving, you just need to start them moving then exit the cab. If you want automated behavior, then you need to use the mod OpenComputers to automate them.

Firstly, Immersive Engineering doesn't add a radio controller. Immersive Railroading does. To use the Radio control card, you need to have OpenComputers installed.

Its my mistake, sorry. I Have OpenComputers Mod but The manual entry about the RC controler is missing - It doesnt load any info about it. It only says an error message that the file with the info is broken.

I've tried different releases of this mod and I can't see the gauges and I also don't see any curved track. I have the correct versions for the game version 1.12.12 and I have the correct forge version. Also, the wrench tab in my game is at the bottom, not in the top as in yours. My locomotives tab also also at the bottom, no matter what version of the file I have tried, it doesn't look like yours and is missing the curved track. Also, the tab with the wheel is at the top on mine on page 3 in the mods. Also, mine doesn't give me the track menu at all and there is no roadbed under it like in your video. When I do a search for track, there is just the 1 straight track. This doesn't make any sense. I have updated drivers for my video card as well. Well now it seems to be working right...so far, at least the right click part anyway.

There's only that one track blueprint. Right click while holding it in the air and it will bring up a GUI.

Gamers Aboard unfortunately, the modeler, legend5550, retextured the dash 9 so it only has the primer coat and the CSX livery. The UP livery is no more. You can switch liveries on stock using the paint brush.

that means you haven't turned the diesel on. Use the numpad plus key. This video was made before diesels needed to be turned on before use.

They're on the numpad. Make sure numlock is on. If you don't have a numpad, then you can rebind the controls in the MC controls menu.
