Immolate & Conflagrate Build Guide - Ascension Season 9

If this video gets 200 likes, im gonna do a livestream Can see people have different ideas and theoies, if snapshot still works so i went and tested again I went to a dummy, and casted an immolate kept refreshing it with Chaos Bolt. The tic is with 10 stacks of Elemental Destruction each test, and 0 other buffs: with 0 buffs, Immolate tic: 920 With 8% dmg, immolate tic 1013 With Arcane Power, immolate tic: 1064 With both buffs 8%+AP, immolate tic: 1171 With Fired Up proc(100% crit). immolate will keep critting even after you fresh it with Chaos Bolt Hope this help ^^ bonus tip: Penance & Icy Penance could also work to trigger the % dmg inc, just like Arcane Missiles. Other spells with multiple hits works aswell Other updates: Dont think the weapon swap are that worth it now, since you CANT snap pure Spell Power. The 2% dmg that stacks 4 times, can ONLY be stacked from 1 souce. Even if you have two diffrent talents, like meantioned with Arcane Divinity. So that combo dosent work, sadly..

Great video! Format and layout for explaining scalings, numbers and strategies is excellent, something people doing videos on other very mechanically deep games *cough* PoE *cough* could learn from. Great video! so about dots. afaik ascension is 335 client based, so in 335 server affliction warlocks do the same with corruption. "When Corruption is refreshed, the crit rating is not updated to the actual crit rating of your character or the actual crit debuffs on the mob. Instead, the crit rating you had when you applied the first Corruption keeps "rolling" as long as you keep refreshing it. The same is true for percentual damage increases, namely Tricks of the Trade and Death's Embrace". So i guess it works the same for every refreshed dot.

Not anymore, 1-2 years ago it was working like this but they removed/reworked snapshotting - every refresh is "updated" now :/ ( they also changed ignite and deep wounds ticks stacking ) so the snap is just for the druation Ur right about that ascension is a 3.3.5(a) client, but they change so many stuff nothing works like a normal based 3.3.5 client or not that much

Like the idea and seems like it could be effective for sure, but I think the highest dmg I’ve seen so far was someone using nature modifiers for Thunderstorm and the spell that takes it place, can’t remember the name. Someone in a heroic I was in though hit for almost 100k with a crit from what recount said. Keep the videos coming love to see the theory crafts

Late on commenting, but generally debuffs on the enemy are dynamic, there may be exceptions rarely, but id put them under the unintended bracket This basically means midnight flames, pyrolate and other such effects affect the abilities specifically while the debuffs are on the target Also while im at it, in case of conflag, it will prioritise the first applied immolate towards damage calculation and then shadowflame (if on target ofc)

Is there still a list of where all of the worldforge RE are from? I know last season there was something like this but I have not looked for it in s9 as I just came back. Overheated strikes and seething flames would be two I'm searching for .

Hey Heytrix- have you thought about "Blaze" to spread the immolate and if you have "Splintered Chaos" to make chaos bolt cleave and restore the immolate on targets (to support multicleave fights)?

question, what do you use to generate combo points for the elemental immolate? I was thinking death mark. Would that be too absurd? (we can now pick 6 ability cards, so this is why im curious.)

any immolate modifiers & hasty conflag Its hard to lvl with, since conflag is 50 - so maybe fireball+fireball Re's

couldnt you use blaze to spread the immolate, the aoe chaos bolt spells, and the aoe conflagrate to give it some aoe damage?

In theory yes, but just also very clunky. And blaze you have to roll, and its very close range. So your better off just having an Aoe-offspec

First off Great build guide man! About the Snapshotting though. I thought that Ascension made it so that DoTs Dynamically update as you get increases or decreases to stats? That's how I was lead to understand it anyways because the effects of Elemental Destruction and Midnight Flames wouldn't work otherwise right?

Yeah, thats why you cant snap pure SP from like trinkets

@@dacma4 we can but the snap is only for the duration means the refresh gets updated They reworked snapshot 1-2 years ago same for ignite and deep wounds stack/snap But for this build and example, it would work if u get stuff like burning darkness which give u stacks for conflagrate fast enough to get it out before it ends or refresh so u can have a "snapshot" in the old way

Spawn timer for Ordeus is 10 minutes. It spawns in the southest point of the route shown.

How do you cast Chaos Bolt during each 10 second rotation? It's cooldown is 12 seconds.

Don’t you need to cast pyroblast to proc the midnight? Like to proc midnight don’t you need to cast all 3 spells? Or just 1 enemy with one of those spells?

Midnight procs from fireball, fireblast, and pyroblast (or furgo). On my melee attempt 1 version I have fuego and hot hands. Missing elemental destruction. It’s super fun. About 65ilvl not enchanted yet. 4.5-5k dps on dummy. I have arctis too, I want to say that trigger midnight flames too but can’t fully remember.

Could you Gandolf - with titan weapon and get the benefit of both the 2hander and 1 hander buff at same time>?

No can do, the benefits of weapon type are based on the weapon in your main hand. So if you have caster sword(most of which are mainhand only) and a staff in offhand(idk if you even can due to wording of TG) youd only get benefit of having 1handed weapon.

aoe fix - fire blast spreads immolate (sure conflag isnt aoe but atleast it gives you immolate on other targets so swapping is less punishing)

Can just honor for thieves secure enough CP? Plus it has random enchant for shorter cd like 1cp per 1.5sec

I forgot to mention that talent! But yes, if you roll that. It can help you reapply ele immolate later in the fight

Fun and sad addition to the highest dmg in the game. That was and possibly still is -astral storm- with the correct set up it would crit for over 100k dmg. With healer gear and missing requirements the highest I got was 98k. This was also nerfed by 100% dmg. So where it sits now I don’t currently know.

its still wasnt nerfed today 15.01 mornin. and since astral storm is arcane school u can buff it with arcane blast and deal 300k+ crits xD
